Ostroci (Szača: Ostročiú), officially the Federal Republic of Ostroci (FRO) (Szača: Rzpbilca Fedraca Ostročiú (RFO), is a large socialist state in Esermia, founded in the aftermath of the Olgoran Uprising, and ensuing Tlusevian Civil War of 1921-22. Officially, Ostroci is a federal republic comprised of numerous sub-republics known as Sovereign Social Councils (SSC) (Szača: Vuloyiu Szeču Sočialu (VSS), which are led by the Federal Congress (Szača: Ustřelí Fedrača) located in the capital of Strazhimr.

Ostroci has a population of 253 million inhabitants it is the most populous nation in Esermia and second largest by landmass, sharing borders with Vadenia, Mossia, East Colcha, Bronheim, Vrenland, Skonia, Bilania, Vlazenice, Petschek, and Rodvia. Ostroci plays a decisive role in the geopolitics of Esermia and the world as the head of the United Socialist Coalition (UNISOC) which spans much of the continent and represents the Socialist Bloc.
