Mission Courland
Mission Courland (28 February - 10 March 1941) was a defensive action carried out by the Rubrumian-Jutlandish Forces under Task Force Gimli. It was the result of the Commonwealth forces near Soinoît refusing to retreat due to attempting to evacuate and save civilian lives. It was carefully prepared by Colonel Tasaku Mitsuru. The Commonwealth forces did not have time to regroup and reorganize so Mitsuru ordered his forces to organize west of Soinoît, where a large group of civilians numbering as high as 20,000 were attempting to flee the city and into safety.
Refusing the civilians to flee, Quenminese General Ân Quang Triệu had planned to turn the populace into Quenminese subjects and decided to go after. But the attempt was blocked by Commonealth forces guarding the escape column. On the night of the 28th of February, the two sides clashed in skirmishes that lasted for 10 days, until which the civilians had already arrived further into safe lands. Mitsuru finally ordered a retreat later that day.
By the end of the day, Commonwealth forces had little losses compared to the Imperial forces, due in fact with Mitsuru's ability to command a formation against a larger formation. The action was nicknamed The Miracle of Soinoît.
The action also had given the Teulabians and Trabians time to regroup.
