Moon Hye-Jin (born 22nd of February 2000) is a Dornalian singer and choreographer, they are currently a member of the group, Venus where they are noted as the Lead Dancer and Choreographer.

Early Life

Moon Hye-Jin was born in Busan on the 22nd of February 2000. At this moment, official contact between the Dornalian Republic and Malgrave was quite limited, however, the increasing flow of tourism and merchant traffic between the two countries quickly meant that music and other cultural products from Malgrave became easier to access in the Republic, a connection which was heightened for Hye-Jin when her father started working for a company which shortly entered into a partnership with a Malgravean tourism firm.

It was due to this connection that Hye-Jin became familiar with Malgravean culture from an early age and soon started to develop an appreciation for the music of Sakura Saito and other Malgravean artists of that era, and she started to blend these techniques into her musical lessons in Busan, a choice which she has since stated served her well during her time on Music Idol Camp.

Musical Career

In 20016 Hye-Jin took part in an invitational event held by Ascension Musical Productions in Busan, an effort by the company to start recruiting overseas prospects for their academy. Hye-Jin impressed the assessors at this event and was invited to join Ascension Musical Productions - Dornalia, a subunit of the company based entirely within the Republic.

In 2018 Hye-Jin was lined up to debut with Choi Isuel within a group called Penguin Love, however, due to health issues within members of the group the project was disbanded, although promotional pictures used for this group involving Hye-Jin and Isuel inside a penguin costume have since gained notoriety with Netizens and Orbits.

Following the failure of Penguin Love Hye-Jin returned to training and providing support for groups within the Dornalian Republic alongside a mixture of OSTs for Malgravean television series and films. In 2020, however, Hye-Jin was approached by MBC about the possibility of taking part in the 13th season of Music Idol Camp which they accepted, although not expected to go far in the competition Hye-Jin was able to finish in the top four and was announced shortly after as a member of Venus.

Hye-Jin initially gained a reputation for being quieter and more reserved compared to other members of Venus, a state which was linked to the fact that Malgravean Ancient was a third language for them. After a few months Orbits began to notice an increase in Hye-Jin's interactions during Capybara broadcasts and media appearances, in which their eccentric personality, admiration for city pop and Malgravean culture and graceful movements earned them the nickname curiosus cattus (curious cat).

Since her debut, Hye-Jin's visuals have resulted in her being involved in multiple advertising campaigns for companies like AlcoMal and MalPha, although their connection to the Dornalian Republic has also meant that they have been prolific in advertising MalTec internationally and they have been involved in a number of campaigns to promote GoodPrice Supermarkets, the Dornalian branch of MalMart.
