The Attorney General of Drambenburg (AG) is an officer of the peace, the chief law enforcement officer in Drambenburg, and advisor to the Kaiser, Chancellor, and Prime Minister of Drambenburg. The Attorney General serves as the principle advisor on all legal matters to the Kaiser, Chancellor, and Prime Minister. The Office of the Attorney General falls under the Supreme Court of Drambenburg, and is thus separated from the Monarchical, Executive, and Legislative branches. Because of the separation of powers, the Chancellor cannot dismiss the Attorney General like other members of the cabinet.
The Attorney General is nominated by the Kaiser and is confirmed in a senate hearing, similarly to the appointment of other members of the Cabinet of the Chancellor of Drambenburg. However, unlike the other cabinet members, the Attorney General is not nominated by the Chancellor, but rather by the Kaiser.
The chief duties of the Attorney General are advising the heads of state on legal matters, overseeing the federal court system, captaining the Drambenburgian Marshals, and leading impeachment investigations. The Attorney General is supported by the Deputy Attorney General, a chief of staff, and several staff members.
