The Chancellor of Albeinland, officially the First Lord Chancellor of Albeinland, is the head of government of Albeinland. The Chancellor is appointed by the monarch after general elections or after the resignation or incapacitation of the former occupant of the office, leading both the executive and legislative with their Cabinet with its actions being accountable to the monarch and the Royal Assembly. The current holder of the office is Vincent Lloyd who was appointed by the Queen on 12 November 2018.

The origins of the office of Chancellor begins with the creation of the King's Council - the first legislative body of Albeinland who was composed by peers, commoners and the clergy with the role of advise the sovereign actions and govern the country in cases of war or regency. Disputes between the King's Council and the sovereign led to the Albish Revolution in 1663 and consequently the constitutionalist rebel victory two years later. The office was established by the Common Charter as First Lord Chancellor due to the necessity of reform, with Thomas Powell being the first holder.

Some privileges are given to the Chancellor due to its national importance such as the official residence of 9 Loegria Street in Castelby and a high salary. Due to the important position that Albeinland holds in the Astyrian geopolitical scenario, the incumbent of the office is considered one of the most powerful and influential people in the Lorecian Community and Lorecia in general.

Official residence

The official residence of the Albish Chancellor is the 9 Loegria Street on the Luffton ward in Castelby, which became an iconic idol for Albish politics and a metonymy for the Albish government as well. The house was built in 1647 by the architect Francis Wilmey to afford more members from the Royal Family (who lived in the then town of Betfield) in Castelby. After the Albish Revolution, the place turns into the official residence of the Chancellor due to its proximity to the Orwell House - the seat of the Royal Assembly.

Besides the Loegria Street, the Exter House on south Bedfordshire serves as the country house of the Chancellor, its family and national and international guests, heads of government and heads of state.
