The Dessauer M1860, officially the Gevær Dessauer-Stuhr, Modell 1860, was an Acrean military breech-loading rifle which replaced the Dessauer M1836 in 1860 as the Acrean Army's standard infantry rifle. Originally a single-shot rifle using metallic cartridges, the design was updated to incorporate an 8-round tubular magazine beneath the barrel in 1868. All new production rifles from 1868 and after were produced with this design as the Gevär Stuhr, Modell 1868, with some older M1860 rifles retrofitted and introduced as the Gevær Dessauer, Modell 1860/68.
