The Dessauer M1860, officially the Gevær Dessauer-Stuhr, Modell 1860, was an Acrean military breech-loading rifle which replaced the Dessauer M1836 in 1860 as the Acrean Army's standard infantry rifle. Originally a single-shot rifle using metallic cartridges, the design was updated to incorporate an 8-round tubular magazine beneath the barrel in 1868. All new production rifles from 1868 and after were produced with this design as the Gevær Dessauer-Stuhr, Modell 1868, with some older M1860 rifles retrofitted and introduced as the Gevær Dessauer-Stuhr, Modell 1860/68.
