Cecilia de Aquila (Born Cecilia Maria de Cornelia, April 11th 1980) is the reigning Queen Consort of the Kingdom of Aquila. She is the wife of the reigning King of Aquila, Gregorius XXXIII. She was born in 1980 in the city of Cornelia. She was the second child of Dux Francescus III de Cornelia, the reigning Duke of the Duchy of Cornelia, and his wife, Juliana de Cornelia. She followed her older brother, Francescus, who would would later become the Duke of Cornelia.
Following Aquilian tradition, she and her brother Francescus were one of the few noble children selected as wards by the monarch, to be educated by private tutors along with the royal children. She and her brother quickly became friends with the Crown Prince of Aquila, Gregorius. The three would maintain a friendship together even though Gregorius would excel more rapidly through his education. Her friendship would later develop into a romantic relationship, and the two would be married in 1997. Gregorius and Cecilia are known for their strong relationship, and the couple would go on to have eight children, seven of whom would survive infancy. With her marriage to Gregorius, she would become the Crown Princess of Aquila at the age of 17. When her father-in-law, King Petrus XVI, passed away in 2005, Gregorius ascended the throne, and Cecilia would become consort of Aquila at only 25 years old.
Unlike her husband, who is quiet and reserved, Cecilia is charming, gregarious and outgoing. However, like her husband, she is charitable, kind and thoughtful, and is deeply pious and faithful. The Queen is well beloved by the people. She takes her duties very seriously, both in the public and private sphere. She has several hobbies, including singing, dancing, playing the violin, and the theater. She is a firm supporter of the arts and music, not only in public but in her family as well.
