The Supreme Court of Narsora (Spanish: Corte Suprema de Justicia de la República del Narsora) is the highest judicial court and the final court of appeal in civil, criminal and tax cases in the Republic of Narsora. It was established on June 24, 1960 and is located in the capital Tamapaéra.
Article 220 of the Constitution establishes that the members of the Supreme Court must be at least 40 years old, be a natural-born citizen and have been a lawyer for ten years, or to have been a member of the Judiciary branch for at least eight years. When a vacancy occurs, the president, with no less than a two-thirds vote of the Senate, appoints a new justice. Each member has a single vote in deciding the cases argued before the court. The current president of the supreme court is Martín Simón Garcia.
Jurisdictional Operations
The Supreme Court exercises, in conjunction with all lower courts, the power to strike down laws which are inconsistent with the constitution. The courts also grant injunctions against public bodies, private bodies and citizens to ensure compliance with the constitution.
