Tamapaéra also known as Tamapaéra de Narsora is the capital and largest city of Narsora. It is located in the northern peninsula of the country, hence it being known as a bustling port city as well. Tamapaéra is the political and financial center of Narsora being home to the executive, legislative and Judical branches of the government.

Etymology

The name "Tamapaéra" is derived from the indigenous Tomucúlan word meaning "City of the water."

History

Tamapaéra has a long and fascinating history, with evidence of human settlement dating back several thousands of years. The area was initially inhabited by the indigenous Tomucúlan tribe, With the arrival of foreign explorers beginning in the 18th century. The city became a significant seaport and was the site of skirmishes between colonial powers whom vied for control of the city's strategic location in the eastern pacific ocean.

Geography and Climate

Tamapaéra is situated in the northern northern peninsula of the country, known as the Esquitel Peninsula. The city enjoys a tropical wet and dry climate (Köppen climate classification: Aw/As), with the average temperature during the day being 22 °C (73 °F), with the nighttime temperature generally falling to an average of 10-13 °C (50-57 °F) at night.
