The House of Trynt is a cadet branch of the Ottonian royal House of Sproek-Kristhulm. The house was formally created in October of 1967, alongside the House of Heligsburg, following the birth of the future Rodrik I to then-Crown Princess Adelhaed of Ottonia, formalizing the split of the royal house into a primary branch and two cadet branches. The house is principally tied to the Principality of Staalmark, a semi-autonomous province within South Ottonia based on the pre-Unification Kingdom of Staalmark, with the head of the house holding the title of Prince or Princess of Staalmark. That title also comes with an executive role within the provincial government of Staalmark, which includes one of South Ottonia's principle cities in Staalburg.

Immediate Family

The immediate family of the House of Trynt is rather large due to the current prince, Adolfus I having been married three separate times. The first marriage, to Madalyn Romm, produced Adolfus' heir apparent, Godwyn of Staalmark, who married Vikturya of Ottonia, and sired a number of children with her. Subsequent marriages have produced other children.
