Kon, officially the Socialist State of Kon, is a nation in northwestern America. It is bordered by Laka to the west, Forna to the south, and Kota to the east. It has a coast with the Bofert Sea to the northwest and the Inuvialuit Sea to the northeast.
Kon is ranked low for civil liberties, low in political freedom, and very low for HRC-FS human rights. Kon is a highly religious nation, specifically by Humanitarians. In many cases religious law is national law, which compels people to have little control of daily activities and personal property. A large part of Koni law is based upon societal expectation, which often leads to inequality. All civil liberties are violated, however prisoner liberties are oddly high. While Kon regularly holds elections, they are always dominated by the Liberal Party while most others are either persecuted or highly restricted.
Kon has many mines across the country along with industrial parks and small businesses. The economy of Kon is struggling to hold as most of the population is relatively uneducated and impoverished. Most major companies are ultimately owned by the government. Valuable metals and mass manufacturing are the major exports of Kon.
Etymology
Kon is a derivitive of the area's old name of Yukon, which itself is a derivitive of the native name chųų gąįį han. This name means white water river, in reference to the river that ran through the territory of Yukon.
