The Prohászka Dynasty is the current reigning dynasty of the Grand Principality of Ruvelka. Founded in December 1320, the Prohászka royal line is one of the oldest royal families in Tyran having ruled from their seat in Debrecen, either independently or as part of a larger empire, for most of their existence. The Prohászka Dynasty was briefly ousted from power following the Red War and the foundation of the Ruvelkan Socialist Republic, but played a key role in the Ruvelkan Civil War that saw their eventual return to power.
The Prohászkas ruled the Principality of Debrecen as an absolute monarchy until the foundation of the Ruvelkan Imperium which saw the establishment of an elective monarchy, a system that remains in place today. The current head of the dynasty is Anett Prohászka while Anett’s daughter, Monika Prohászka is the nation’s current Royal Princess and head of state.
