The Invasion of Alameda, officially termed the Pacification of Alameda was an invasion initiated by Wazheganon and Rökkurlynd in 1893 against the First Republic of Alameda as a response to the Federation Referendum of 1894. The referendum was proposed in 1890 and officially signed to be voted on in 1892 by the President Veronica Fernández and her government to federate with Gristol-Serkonos. The referendum was an extremely controversial move both within Alameda and regionally within Norumbia. The referendum was seen by many nations north of Alameda as a potentially disrupting force to the balance of power within Norumbia, and threatened to turn the balance towards Gristol-Serkonos. Within Alameda, the referendum was seen as an abandonment of the sovereignity of Alamedines and Muscogeans and the ideals of Alamedine-Muscogean Concordance.

The invasion began in February 18th 1893, where a combined force of Wazheganon and Rökkurlynd soldiers marched into West Alameda, which was primarily defended and controlled by the Carabineros de Alameda as opposed to the Army of Alameda. The Carabineros saw several light defeats at the beginning of the war, but were able to evade outright defeat until the Battle of Esseneca. The West Division of Carabineros was almost entirely wiped out in Esseneca, and put Alameda on the defensive in East Alameda. By July 1893, over 90% of West Alameda was directly controlled by Wazheganon & Rökkurlynd soldiers. Alongside this, the Qanasi pledged to assist Wazheganon and Rökkurlynd in their invasion of East Alameda.

The war was one of the largest wars in Alamedan history and had significant effects on the balance of power in Norumbia. Attitudes towards Alameda's northern neighbors went from previously neutral to negative, and the general sentiment of many political parties went from previously advocating for neutrality to generally siding with Gristol-Serkonos.
