Aquitayne was one of the first countries in Astyria, and the first in Lorecia, to manufacture nuclear weapons.
Development
Arabonan surveys
[Aq Mining Company] sends dudes to Arabona to survey for raw minerals on the island. One gets sick with radiation poisoning prompting further investigation. [Mining Company] finds large deposits of uranium on the island. 1930s.

Mining and enrichment
Late 1940s the Aquitaynian government begins building a uranium enrichment site close to the mine on Arabona.
Scientific assistance
Blackhelm Confederacy scientists assist with the program after successfully completing their own bomb in 1950.
Nuclear weapons testing
Aquitaynes first successful nuclear test occurred on 2 September 1955 about 300 km off the coast of Insula Fera.
