Brigadier Sir. Jon Berg CLE, JGD, COJG (25 July 1921) is a retired Jutlander senior officer and entrepreneur. He is known for the founding of Jutland's largest telecommunications company, Jutland-Gimli Long Distance Telecommunications Corporation in 1951. This came as his background as an early communications officer in the army. He enrolled as an army engineer and found himself working closely with his college mates that included Murasame Susaya, Sagaru Yamada, and his childhood friend, Allone Grønkjær.
During the Second Europan War, he found himself fighting alongside his colleagues during the Third Joyonghean-Quenminese War where they initially fought at the Teulabia Campaign. He provided engineer and logistics support to Task Force Gimle. In addition, he provided communications support through a dedicated communications battalion. He was later delegated command of the elite Princess Raphaella's Own Gimlian Guards, in which he transformed the formation from an infantry regiment to a mechanised engineer regiment possessing specialised equipment that gave the Allies a formation that can specialised in breakthroughs of hard Imperial defences. He continued to serve and command the regiment until his retirement in 1982.
In 1948, he found himself acquainted with Princess Raphaella, the elder sister of Raphtalia, Princess of Jutland. Berg, who was 26 and Raphaella who was 20 subsequently fell in love and the two had a romantic relationship and married in 1950. In that same year, Berg approched his wife's father to support him to charter Jutland's first independent telecommunication lines, which the Duke agreed. The company was finally chartered in 1951 with support from the Duke, who became the Governor-General of Jutland-Gimli at that year. Today, JGLDTC provides one of the fastest network speeds in Zemuria.
Berg still maintains a senior role even as his son, Frederick Berg took over the role of running the company. Throughout the FUA Crisis and the following splintering of the Allied nations, he authorised Pavlov & Craig and Department 7B2 to be the only two military communications formation that were legal to operate Jutlandish telecommunication lines.
