Nisihara Mari (born April 2nd, 1986) is a Neo-Korean politician and the recently promoted Minister of Foreign Affairs since 2034. She had not possessed any notable roles in the government before that point, making her rise to the position something of a surprise - which many have linked to the effort of Beom Dae to assert more control over foreign policy. As it currently stands, she has overseen both the collapse of Svetvostok-Kāichrén relations and the admission of Cauteria to the Pan-Regional Multilateral Partnership.
Nisihara has not been noted to be a member of any factions, making her one of three individuals present in the current Beom Cabinet to not possess such. Nisihara has been noted to be far more dynamic on a personal level than her predecessor, making it a point of speculation on if she will become more influential in the organization of foreign affairs over time.
Early Life
Born on the second of April, she grew up in the southern portion of Omiskan, in a district notable for possessing the Omiskan Central Museum for the Military Arts. Her father was Nisihara Ken, a minor staffer for the Central Governing Council, with her mother being unknown. She attended the Academy for State Affairs after her period of time in a Creche, and would be in the top 10 percentile of students whom graduated in 2008. She participated in the inaugural Pan-Hiakemirian Debate Competition in her final year, ending in the top 20 before being eliminated.
She would take an interest in drama and foreign languages, learning Seurian, Matsumean, and Jien. She was involved in a student effort to assist in the organizing of artistic efforts in smaller communities, collecting several pieces of art which would later be exhibited in Omiskan. She additionally has a bachelor's degree in economics.
Career
Following her graduation from the Academy for State Affairs, she would be selected for an reserved role in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - spending an additional two years studying the geopolitical / internal political environment before being allowed to take a role in the Ministry. This reserved role would be rewarded as a result of her highs scores during graduation.
Pre-Foreign Ministership
Following her acceptance to the Foreign Ministry, she would be a minor bureaucrat for several Pan-Hiakemirian cultural events that Neo-Korea attempted to organize, although none would attract international attention. During the Invasion of Jungg'o, she would be involved in the organization of diplomatic efforts to attempt to prevent continued damage to the foreign relations of Neo-Korea due to the war, being involved in the attempt to restore relations with Meridon before the 2015 Marquesan Intervention accomplished such.
She would be sent to the Neo-Korean embassy as a minor staffer in Meridon for an approximate four year period (2018-2022), picking up the Meridonian accent of Seurian in the process. At the end of this period, she returned to doing bureacrat work for the Ministry - a state of affairs which continued until her ascension to the role of Foreign Minister.
