Anatea, officially the Federation of Anatea, is a constitutional monarchy run by Princess Sofia Soleri and the anatean parliament divided between the Lucet (progressive leftist party) and the Set (right wing conservative party). Anatea is located in the south-eastern part of the of the continent of Aurelia, in Eurth, and boasts the primacy of exploration and mapping of the world.

Etymology

The name Anatea derives from the ancient anatean which means "Land of the Sun" (Ana = Sun, Tea = Land).

History

Stone Age, Bronze Age & Iron Age

Some artifacts and remains of small rudimentary sculptures or work tools found in the Amber Mountains or outside where the capital Solisea would now be, are dated as belonging to 3000 B.C. circa. Although they are still trying to understand if the date is entirely correct, Anatean historians use 3000 B.C. as a starting date for the formation of the first Anatean tribes in Aurelia, managing to categorize them into 3 initial social agglomerations: the tribe of the Solanians (located in Solana), the Amberians (Amber) and the Sachanians (Sachana). The discovery of bronze weapons near Sachanian territories, used mostly by the Amberians, document how short conflicts were often going on between the Sachanians and the Amberians, probably for xenophobic reasons, as between the Solanians and the Sachanians, despite their skin diversity, conflicts never broke out and on the contrary there seemed to be a sort of peaceful coexistence. This era is also marked by the birth of the first city-states such as the city of Algar or today's Blue Cape, and by the expansion towards West by the Solanians, which brought considerable military and economic advantages with the exchange of rare goods or bronze weapons that the Sachanians managed to steal from the Amberians during the fightings. With the introduction of iron by the Amberians, they were able to easily stop the advance of the Sachanians in the Amber region, suggesting that the state of conflict between the two populations continued for centuries..

Classical Age & Post-Classical Era

With the military, economic and cultural development of civilizations, as well as the radicalization of the position of the Anatean communities, the larger city-states began to incorporate smaller communities into their territories, creating the first Anatean proto-states. This change led the Sachanians to form the Kingdom of Sachana and the war with the already Amberians began to turn more and more in favor of the Sachanians. For the eastern part of Anatea instead, in the 800 BCE the Solanians began to be attacked and invaded by the Altyans, coming from the island of Altys. Unable to defend all their properties on the coast, the Solanians had to ask for help to the Kingdom of Sachana, promising in exchange to help them in the war against the Amberians. The two communities were soon able to defeat the invading forces, giving the Solanians time to organize their first army and help their allies against the Amberians, who were defeated and conquered in 710 BCE. In 680 BCE the first two states were formed in the Anatean peninsula: the Empire of Sachana, which extended into today's Sachana, Amber and Altoora regions, and the Kingdom of Anatore, which expanded into the region of Solana, Detalia, Eraldea and Altys Island. With the birth of the two first nations and an increasingly progressive expansionism due to the need for more resources, the two states had some high tensions, which will explode later in 520 BCE with the Anatean War. With the end of the conflict in 440 BCE, the Kingdom of Anatore came out victorious and conquered the opposing territories, incorporating the entire Anatean peninsula into its domain. In the following years Anatore began a rapid expansion towards North and South, but both campaigns were stopped by the Aurelian tribes in the North or the Ruslanians in the South, leaving Anatore in its original borders and starting a long period of political and economic stagnation. The Anatorean population, tired of the kingdom's inefficiency and stagnation, began a series of rebellions that resulted in the Anatean Civil War, which ended in 72 BCE when King Asperio Anatore III abdicated and its nephew Ullio Soleri came to power. With the change of the royal line of succession, Anatore also changed, becoming in the following years the Kingdom of Anatea. In the following centuries Anatea enjoyed a period of long peace and internal, economic and cultural development, leading the nation over time to expand towards a new frontier: the Adisi Ocean. In 700 Anatea entered the "Era of Adventure", where it managed to come into contact with different populations of Marenesia and Alharu. The discovery of new continents and new populations led the Anateans to enjoy new products and increasingly advantageous trades, but also to the weakening of the central power of the nation given most of the population outside the national borders. In 1010 Anatea suffered the fall of three large meteorite fragments on its territory which caused devastation to the capital Solisea and other areas on the peninsula, leading to the death of thousands of people and the ruin of plantations that will cause a severe famine. This crisis will lead Anatea to block the Era of Adventure to recover the lost population and try to defend itself from the Ruthenian invasions to the South, which took advantage of the moment of instability to conquer the current region of Dalstavia. Only in 1420 Anatea will be able to restart exploring again the territories beyond the ocean and resume foreign trades, leading to the discovery of the continents of Argis, Europe and Thalassa.

21st Century

In 2005, Anatea began investing in renewable energy production, expecting to get out of its oil dependency in 2030. With the collapse of the economy in Ruthenia, the Dalstavia region decided to proclaim its independence from Ruthenia in 2019, joining Anatea. After various tensions between Anatea and Ruthenia, the latter carried out the assassination of the regents of Anatea, causing the Dalstavian War to break out. At the end of the conflict in favor of Anatea, in November 2019 Princess Sofia Soleri reorganized the nation into a federation, giving more freedom to the regions.

Morphology

The territory of Anatea is very varied and well preserved, thanks to the anatean government that tries to protect the environment in any way. Each region has its own specific habitat, starting with the region of:

Sol : it' s the region from which the nation of Anatea was born. It has sandy coasts to the North and East, while inland the region is dominated by the "Solisea Grasslands", a vast plain not even touched by the agricultural fields for its beauty.

Galida : it is an island off the coast of Anatea with small woods, various plains and sandy coasts.

Aurelia : the Aurelia archipelago is made up of several small tropical islands enriched by forests and "Mount Halaia", located in the homonymous island. This region contain the coral reef of the "Gold Archipelago", which makes the water clear.

Viraldea : the region of Viraldea is the one that has a greater concentration of mountains and green valleys and, in some places, uncontaminated woods. What makes this region famous are the natural baths of "Alcarentia" and the "Red Lake", provided with this color for the iron deposits on the bottom of the lake that has colored the waters over the millennia.

Detalia : this is a great valley enclosed by the "Layta, Stars and Waiapolo Mountains". The "Great Plains" dominate the entire natural area, while "Stars Hill" is the only great hill present on the anatean territory. To the West, towards the "Kalistea Lake", the region is enriched by the presence of two important woods in the territory: the "Night Wood" and the "Alendai Forest".

Altoora : it is the desert region of Anatea, the one that possesses the vast and famous "Altoora Desert", which dominates much of the region. To the North it has the "Flaming Corridor", a pass that connects to the "Sol" region, while near it there are the arid "Solise Mountains". To the North-East the sandy coast is washed by the "Bright Coast" while "The Guardian" is present in the South-East, a mountain made lonely by previous erosions.

Sachana : the region of Sachana is a large and vast dry savannah in the eastern part of Anatea, with the "Blazing Mountain Range" that dominates the southern part.

Sakagi : this area is one of the popular ones of Anatea because of the huge plain that it shares with the Eraldea region. To the North the "Algar Pass" connects the region with the one of Sachana, while in the North-East and North-West the area is surrounded by "Waiapolo and Haku Mountains". The vast "Fanying Lake" is also famous,along with the "Yanshi Refuge", a hilly area used as refuge by the Yanshi during the 1670 Border War. Also famous are the thermal baths of "Yufuin", a very popular tourist destination in Anatea.

Eraldea : the Eraldea region is a large plain surrounded by the "Fanying and Kalistea Lakes". To the South there's the "Ishtal Wood", while to the North there's the "Amber Gate".

Amber : this mountainous region is a narrow valley surrounded by the "Amber Mountains" and the "Dark Heights". Inside there are many woods, while the mountain ranges like the "Dark Heights" have the primacy of the highest mountain range in Anatea.

Dalstavia : The Dalstavia region is known for the great "Narekja mountain range" and the vast "prairies of Larita", which divide the "forest of Palia" from the mountains of Narekja.

Anatea also has four rivers, the longest of which is the Myrill River, which runs through the Detalia region.

Climate

The climate of Anatea is generally temperate, although in many areas the climate can change. According to the Köppen climate classification Anatea is divided into six types of climates (desert, arid, tropical, temperate, temperate cold and cold): the desert and arid climate can be found in the Altoora and Sachana regions, the tropical one in the Aurelia region, the temperate one in the areas of Sol, Galida, Detalia, Eraldea, Sakagi and Dalstavia, the temperate cold one in the Viraldea area and the cold one in the Amber region.

Population

The population of Anatea is very diverse considering the past from former colony. Within the nation you can find various ethnic groups, such as Indo-Europeans, Nordic, Asian, Ingan, Kaorish, Tsokeikan and Gabrielt minorities. The population living in the northern plains maintain a rosy complexion, while in the Altoora desert the complexion becomes darker. In the Amber region, however, the population shows lighter skin due to the lack of sunshine in the mountainous region. In the Sakagi and Eraldea regions, however, the population is mostly Asian, as are many buildings and culture in the region, due to Ingan origins. Normally the population is very hospitable and sunny, causing Anatea to have the lowest rate of depression in the nation.

Government

The Anatean government is governed by the monarch in office and one of the two presidents of the "Lucet" (progressive leftist party) and "Set" (right wing conservative party) parties that is elected by the population. Every law or decision to be taken is discussed between the two parties and then chosen by the vote of the people, except in cases of emergency in which the monarch has to make the decision. The anatean population is free to vote and every year on May 1st the president of one of the two parties is elected by the population.

The Anatean economy is based on agriculture, fishing and mining of the Amber mountains, which are processed into finished products in the industries. Also important are the income derived from the extraction of oil in the Altoora desert as well as from tourism for the numerous and magnificent places of relax immersed in the uncontaminated nature. As a nation that safeguards nature, Anatea seeks to feed its power plants and factories with renewable eco-sustainable energy, having banned the construction of nuclear power plants throughout the country. - Layden Motors: It is the leading auto industry in the nation that deals in the production of vehicles,civil and military aircrafts and engines used in civil and military working environment. It is in strong rivalry with the Kalynn Industries on the development of new aircrafts and tanks.

The Anatean Army counts few soldiers as it doesn't want to show itself as a militaristic nation, aiming to have technologically superior weapons rather than superior number or soldiers and vehicles. The Anatean Armed Forces are divided between the Anatean Strike Force, Anatean Defense Force, Anatean Air Force, Anatean Air Defense Force, Anatean Navy and Republican Strategy Service and each soldier is trained for a period of 2 months before becoming an effective part of the army, so as to develop in the recruits the reason why they must serve their nation and guarantee them proper training in the use of many weapons and combat techniques. Anatea owns some missile sites hosting non-nuclear weapons and fortifications in the hinterland, concentrating most of its resources in the Air Force, always ready to react. Anatea, as well as its army, is strongly opposed to the indescribable use of nuclear or chemical weapons, aiming to protect the safety of civilians of any nation in every combat situation.

Culture,Art & Cinema

Anatea is a country that aims at the peaceful prosperity of its population and its neighbors, in particular education focuses on respecting people and their rights, instilling a civil duty in young Anateans to improve society and themselves. Anatean culture is based on art and cooking, in particular the most famous dish is Pasta alla carbonara, a delicacy that can be tasted in any restaurant of Anatea, while for art the country has hosted different artistic currents, among the most famous neoclassicism and impressionism. In the film industry the country is quite active, having filmed famous works transmitted still today in the Anatean cinemas and becoming in time some classics.
