Anatea, officially the Republic of Anatea, is a constitutional monarchy run by King Edward II and the anatean parliament divided between the Lucet (progressive leftist party) and the Set (right wing conservative party). Anatea is located in the northern part of the continent of Kasia, in Anteria, and boasts the primacy of exploration and mapping of the world.

Etymology

The name Anatea derives from the ancient anatean which means "Land of the Sun" (Ana = Sun, Tea = Land). The origin of the name derives from the Kingdom of Anatore, which actually means "Kingdom of the Sun" (Ana = Sun, Tore = Kingdom).

History

Prehistory (2500000 B.C. - 4000 B.C.)

The past history of the anatorean population, and therefore the anatean one, is completely unknown and still a strong source of historical debate. But some 13th century anatean documents indicate that the civilization had begun to develop on the island of Anataria, off the continent of Avistava.

The First Anatorean Societies (4000 B.C. - 30 B.C.)

Few data have come down to us regarding the development of the anatean civilization, but some finds and documents from the anatorian era reveal that the island was disputed by several tribes as long as the one destined to become the Kingdom of Anatore succeeded in prevailing over the others. Between the tenth and ninth century B.C. the boundaries of the anatorean neo-domain were defined, up to 300 B.C where documents and news are more vivid and accurate. In 40 B.C. the island of Anataria was the main theater of war between the two powers that contended the island: The Kingdom of Ataira and the United Domains of Anaria. The conflict, known as the "War of Anataria", is still unclear but some informations indicates that the United Domains of Anaria, in the year 35 B.C., succeeded in conquering and subduing the Kingdom of Ataira, uniting and forming what would become 5 years later the Kingdom of Anatore.

The Kingdom of Anatore Era (30 B.C. - 1130)

In 30 B.C the Kingdom of Anatore is formed. Under its rule the island of Anataria enjoyed stability and internal peace, although some pirate raids scourged the southwestern part of the country, but the problem was soon solved in 20 B.C. with the fortification of those areas. In addition to the creation of the anatorean national religion, the "Anatheism", the events concerning what happened within the kingdom during its period of prosperity are little known, but in 1108 the island of Anataria was starting to be too small for an ever-growing population. This brought the Kingdom of Anatore to an expansionist policy, beginning several trips of exploration and colonization of the islands and lands near and far Anatore but not all went according to plan. The fanaticism of the anatheists made sure to convince most of the local nobles that the exit outside the borders of the island would have led to those who ventured to disappear in the "Vast Blue", bringing the kingdom to various moments of instability from 1109 until 1113, known as the "Expansionist Revolt". The only colony that grew and expanded was in the northern part of the continent of Kasia in 1110. As soon as the colony succeeded in establishing itself successfully, it began sending resources to the motherland, now weakened by the resource squandering due to funding for numerous failed colonizations or destroyed by pirates, and from the years of internal conflicts that had worn out the kingdom during the Expansionist Revolt. The weakening of Anatore, however, was not only noticed by his internal members, but also from the neighboring people that inhabited the southern lands of the present Astariax: the Principality of the Knevinnerron. Thus it was that in 1127 Knevinnerron began the invasion of the island of Anataria, which will bring in 1130 the Kingdom of Anatore to collapse during this invasion. During the annihilation of the Kingdom of Anatore, the anatorean colony in Kasia tried to send as many supplies as possible to support the motherland but soon, when it ceased to exist, it had to host the few refugees who managed to escape from the island. Left alone in a new world, the anatorean colony tried to survive alone until governor Jason Soleri, on 15th April 1130, proclaimed the formation of a new government in the now abandoned colony, giving life to what has since been called the Kingdom of Anatea, with Jason Soleri as the first monarch.

The Anatean Kingdom (1130 - 1756)

With the creation of the Kingdom of Anatea Jason Soleri engaged himself to lay a solid foundation for his government, abolishing above all the Anatheist religion that had ruined the previous kingdom and expanding the domains towards the Altoora Desert and to the south, over Viraldea mountains. For many centuries Anatea experienced a period of peace and tranquility, but in 1400 the Kingdom of Anatea continued its expansion towards the south, acquiring the current territories of Amber and Sachana. Only in 1402 the anatean expansion will bring the kingdom to meet the Yanshis, a clan belonging to the old Gyeoljeong domain. For all the following years Anatea and the Yanshis passed a period of tension due to the aggressiveness of the latter, but in 1440 the kingdom began to suffer from a looming famine due to the worsening of the weather in those years. It seemed that the fate of Anatea would be marked as that of its predecessor, but salvation came in 1468 when, during the war of unification between Yanshis and Ingans, the latter asked for help from the anateans in exchange of food and the southern territories on the border of Anatea, much more fertile. With an incoming devastating crisis on the anatean population, the Kingdom of Anatea accepted the request and in 1470 Anatea attacked the Yanshis, reporting numerous victories that helped the Ingans to unify the kingdom. With the war won, the latter gave the current territories of Sakagi and Eraldea to Anatea, saving the anateans from famine and guaranteeing them an agricultural development destined to last in the following centuries, while relations with the Ingans, and subsequently with Gyeoljeong, continued for the rest of Anatea's existence, opening a long period of peace and prosperity. With the rise of King Mark III in 1748 the Kingdom of Anatea began to take a period of political destabilization, as the monarchy greatly overwhelmed the rights of citizens and the period of unresolved economic crisis that had begun to scourge Anatea was undermining the credibility of the monarchical government, careless of the ongoing problems. This economic crisis and the increasingly evident monarchical absolutism led most of the population to start riots for the request for a constitution and the solution to such problems. So it was that Anatea literally split into two, between pro-monarchists against anti-monarchists, approaching the country more and more to a civil war that was foiled in time by Mark III himself, who resigned as sovereign in 1754 and promised with a new government to write a constitution. It was only in 1756 that the goal was reached, when Prince Lars I ascended the throne with a constitution in which he guaranteed greater civil rights and the creation of a parliament, abolishing the monarchical powers considerably, committing its efforts to the end of the economic crisis with many renovations and modernizations of the country's structures. So it was that in the same year the Kingdom of Anatea became a Republic.

The Republican Age (1756 - 2001)

Under the government of Lars I the Republic of Anatea grew steadily in stability and development, even coming to considerably enrich itself in 1870 when some Anatean traders found and began trading with the Republic of Kaory. The discovery of Kaory gave to Anatea another commercial and military ally, arriving in 1952 to sign the Paran Alliance Treaty. Throughout the rest of the years Anatea concentrated itself on the development of the nation, interacting peacefully with neighboring nations.

The Contemporary Era (2001 - 2019)

In the new millennium, Anatea was concerned with developing the country's energy sources, starting in 2005 a replacement work of the renewable energy power plant that will be completed only in 2019, while in 2007 Anatea banned all use and consumption of nuclear energy on its territory. In December 2018 Anatea, after years of development, was recognized as an important nation in Anteria, being invited to Seruf's G25 (Anteria) in Aziallis and entering, on December 8th, inside the Dokodo Union.

Morphology

The territory of Anatea is very varied and well preserved, thanks to the anatean government that tries to protect the environment in any way. Each region has its own specific habitat, starting with the region of:

Sol : it' s the region from which the nation of Anatea was born. It has sandy coasts to the North and East, while inland the region is dominated by the "Solisea Grasslands", a vast plain not even touched by the agricultural fields for its beauty.

Galida : it is an island off the coast of Anatea with small woods, various plains and sandy coasts.

Aurelia : the Aurelia archipelago is made up of several small tropical islands enriched by forests and "Mount Halaia", located in the homonymous island. This region contain the coral reef of the "Gold Archipelago", which makes the water clear.

Viraldea : the region of Viraldea is the one that has a greater concentration of mountains and green valleys and, in some places, uncontaminated woods. What makes this region famous are the natural baths of "Alcarentia" and the "Red Lake", provided with this color for the iron deposits on the bottom of the lake that has colored the waters over the millennia.

Detalia : this is a great valley enclosed by the "Layta, Stars and Waiapolo Mountains". The "Great Plains" dominate the entire natural area, while "Stars Hill" is the only great hill present on the anatean territory. To the West, towards the "Kalistea Lake", the region is enriched by the presence of two important woods in the territory: the "Night Wood" and the "Alendai Forest".

Altoora : it is the desert region of Anatea, the one that possesses the vast and famous "Altoora Desert", which dominates much of the region. To the North it has the "Flaming Corridor", a pass that connects to the "Sol" region, while near it there are the arid "Solise Mountains". To the North-East the sandy coast is washed by the "Bright Coast" while "The Guardian" is present in the South-East, a mountain made lonely by previous erosions.

Sachana : the region of Sachana is a large and vast dry savannah in the eastern part of Anatea, with the "Blazing Mountain Range" that dominates the southern part.

Sakagi : this area is one of the popular ones of Anatea because of the huge plain that it shares with the Eraldea region. To the North the "Algar Pass" connects the region with the one of Sachana, while in the North-East and North-West the area is surrounded by "Waiapolo and Haku Mountains". The vast "Fanying Lake" is also famous,along with the "Yanshi Refuge", a hilly area used as refuge by the Yanshi during the 1670 Border War. Also famous are the thermal baths of "Yufuin", a very popular tourist destination in Anatea.

Eraldea : the Eraldea region is a large plain surrounded by the "Fanying and Kalistea Lakes". To the South there's the "Ishtal Wood", while to the North there's the "Amber Gate".

Amber : this mountainous region is a narrow valley surrounded by the "Amber Mountains" and the "Dark Heights". Inside there are many woods, while the mountain ranges like the "Dark Heights" have the primacy of the highest mountain range in Anatea. Anatea also has four rivers, the longest of which is the Myrill River, which runs through the Detalia region.

Climate

The climate of Anatea is generally temperate, although in many areas the climate can change. According to the Köppen climate classification Anatea is divided into six types of climates (desert, arid, tropical, temperate, temperate cold and cold): the desert and arid climate can be found in the Altoora and Sachana regions, the tropical one in the Aurelia region, the temperate one in the areas of Sol, Galida, Detalia, Eraldea, Sakagi and Dalstavia, the temperate cold one in the Viraldea area and the cold one in the Amber region.

Population

The population of Anatea is very diverse considering the past from former colony. Within the nation you can find various ethnic groups, such as Indo-Europeans, Nordic, Asian, Ingan, Kaorish, Tsokeikan and Gabrielt minorities. The population living in the northern plains maintain a rosy complexion, while in the Altoora desert the complexion becomes darker. In the Amber region, however, the population shows lighter skin due to the lack of sunshine in the mountainous region. In the Sakagi and Eraldea regions, however, the population is mostly Asian, as are many buildings and culture in the region, due to Ingan origins. Normally the population is very hospitable and sunny, causing Anatea to have the lowest rate of depression in the nation.

Government

The Anatean government is governed by the king in office and by two presidents of the "Lucet" (progressive leftist party) and "Set" (right wing conservative party) parties. Every law or decision to be taken is discussed between the two parties and then chosen by the vote of the people, except in cases of emergency in which the king has to make the decision. The anatean population is free to vote and every two years the president and vice-president of the two parties are elected by the population.

The Anatean economy is based on agriculture, fishing and mining of the Amber mountains, which are processed into finished products in the industries. Also important are the income derived from the extraction of oil in the Altoora desert as well as from tourism for the numerous and magnificent places of relax immersed in the uncontaminated nature. As a nation that safeguards nature, Anatea seeks to feed its power plants and factories with renewable eco-sustainable energy, having banned the construction of nuclear power plants throughout the country. - Altoora Oil Energy: The main oil extraction activity in Anatea. Every year it extracts and exports millions of gallons on national soil and beyond. It is in strong rivalry with AEP.

- Alternative Energy Production (AEP): It is the nascent company that deals with procuring energy from renewable energy sources. It is in strong rivalry with Altoora Oil Energy.

- Neucom: Neucom is the company that deals with research and development of new advanced and chemical technologies, as well as holding the ownership of research laboratories throughout the country.

- Layden Motors: It is the leading auto industry in the nation that deals in the production of vehicles,civil and military aircrafts and engines used in civil and military working environment. It is in strong rivalry with the Kalynn Industries on the development of new aircrafts and tanks.

The Anatean Army counts few soldiers as it doesn't want to show itself as a militaristic nation, aiming to have technologically superior weapons rather than superior number or soldiers and vehicles. The Anatean Armed Forces are divided between the Anatean Strike Force, Anatean Defense Force, Anatean Air Force, Anatean Air Defense Force, Anatean Navy and Republican Strategy Service and each soldier is trained for a period of 2 months before becoming an effective part of the army, so as to develop in the recruits the reason why they must serve their nation and guarantee them proper training in the use of many weapons and combat techniques. Anatea owns some missile sites hosting non-nuclear weapons and fortifications in the hinterland, concentrating most of its resources in the Air Force, always ready to react. Anatea, as well as its army, is strongly opposed to the indescribable use of nuclear or chemical weapons, aiming to protect the safety of civilians of any nation in every combat situation.

Culture,Art & Cinema

Anatea is a country that aims at the peaceful prosperity of its population and its neighbors, in particular education focuses on respecting people and their rights, instilling a civil duty in young Anateans to improve society and themselves. Anatean culture is based on art and cooking, in particular the most famous dish is Pasta alla carbonara, a delicacy that can be tasted in any restaurant of Anatea, while for art the country has hosted different artistic currents, among the most famous neoclassicism and impressionism. In the film industry the country is quite active, having filmed famous works transmitted still today in the Anatean cinemas and becoming in time some classics.
