This is one of the two [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_battle_tank main battle tanks] of the Army. DPR rights were purchased from Wolf Armaments. Currently 650 such tanks serve the Armed Forces. In search for a lighter tank capable of supporting armored forces, such as mechanized troops or tank groups, Leopards were intended to support and protect lighter forces against forces that could otherwise outmatch them. Providing rear guard for main battle tanks, supporting ground troops against hostile infantry or enemy armor, and countering most hostile ground forces are only some of the T-62F's roles. Wolf Armaments, on a tight budget, decided to look into soviet designs in order to produce a supporting battle tank that would support ground forces; more modern T-62 chassis were eventually chosen as the project's starting point. After large amounts of reconstruction and replacements - test models were eventually produced and underwent stringent developmental tests in 2005; company bosses were especially skeptical because of the different cultural design and the age of the original design altogether. After delays and setbacks, and further upgrades, the first batch of prototype T-62F's made it to official trials. The successful trials impressed company bosses and was approved for full development and would shortly after enter full scale manufacturing. The T-62F went into full production the following year.

This is the second [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_battle_tank main battle tanks] of the Army. A total of 20 such tanks were purchased from Wolf Armaments. The Feurig 2A2 Main Battle Tank is a modern state-of-the-art improved design of the Feurig 2 main battle tank, which was originally based on the Feurig 1 main battle tank. The design is the latest upgrade to the vehicle as part of the "Feurig Renovation Project"; this project is designed to modernize and improve the Feurig line of main battle tanks using newer technology, theories, ideas, and problem solving based on stats, multiple experience reports, and research. The Feurig 2A2 was designed and first delivered in 2013 as part of the FRP project; working along with Wolf Armaments and various engineering companies - designers were focused on solving issues with the older model that both crews and commanders experienced. The upgrade includes a new advanced turret design, additional armaments, better armoring/protection, improved components, and upgraded electronic systems.

Calls for the replacement the aging HTV-98 line of main battle tanks began in the summer of 2010. The Future Weapons Development Committee laid out the design requirements for what would become the HTV-014. The new tank was to incorporate the latest electronic systems, be capable of operating in any climate under any weather condition, be readily transported by fixed wing aircraft, and offer unrivaled offensive and defensive capabilities.

Ten early prototypes were delivered in Spring 2012. The prototype tanks were operated in different climates for an entire year, undergoing combat simulations. From rain forests, to jungles, to deserts, to the arctic, no conditions were left untested. Following these trials, over 400 refinements were made based on crew suggestions and engineering data.

The HTV-014 was developed using the most advanced computer design and simulation software available. Over 2 years of field testing and nearly 70 years of tank design expertise have gone into the development of the HTV-014. Sixteen private and government owned entities, ranging from advanced computer hardware and software developers to metallurgical design bureaus contributed to the final design.

The unique armament layout of the MTV-09 IFV provides true multi-mission readiness and a high level of adaptability. Alongside the powerful and high lethality KA10 autocannon is 6 missile launch tubes which can be outfitted with a variety of missiles for any mission requirements. The "plug and play" style coaxial armament offers several choices for secondary armament.

The primary armament of the MTV-09 is KA10 35/50mm automatic cannon created by TALON National Arms Corporation. Since it's original deployment it has proven to be a highly lethal and versatile weapon system. Coupled together with the advanced electronics suite found in the MTV-09, the KA10 is capable of firing a wide variety of both unguided and guided 35mm and 50mm projectiles with a high degree of accuracy.

The KA10 autocannon can fire both 35mm rounds and 50mm rounds with only minor modifications made to the KA10 between rounds. The 35mm rounds are typically used for ground combat, while the 50mm rounds have proven adept against aircraft and in counter artillery, rocket, and mortar (C-RAM) roles. The 50mm round is also well suited for taking on more heavily armored ground targets. The KA10 is a dual feed weapons system, with munitions being stored in armored magazines on the left and right side of the cannon, with blowout panels to the side, to direct any munitions explosions away from crew areas. The magazine on the left side has a capacity for 250 35x228mm rounds, and the right magazine can carry up to 150 35x228mm rounds.

The Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Mizialand is the unified armed forces of Mizialand. It consists of the Ground Forces, Air and Air Defence Forces, Naval Forces, and Queen's Guard. They guarantee the preservation of the independence and sovereignty of the state and the integrity of its land area, territorial waters and airspace and its constitutional order. The armed forces of Mizialand act under the authority of the Ministry of Defence (earlier known as the Ministry of War and Defence).

The Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces is the Prime Minister of Mizialand. Prior to 2016 when Mizialand became a constitutional monarchy, Her Majesty's brother His Royal Highness Pierre Vincent was the Commander in Chief, when he resigned from his position, effectively transferring the authority to the newly elected Prime Minister. However, his crown continues to mount the royal lion on the coat of arms of the Armed Forces.

The Armed Forces have been involved in two major conflicts since their formation in 1912 namely, the Mizia Civil War of 1912-1919 and the Great Astyrian War. Since 2017, Mizialand has hosted two training centres beside regularly contributing to the Foreign Legion of the Imperion Coalition.

History

The first branch of the armed forces to be established was the 'Queen's Guard' that replaced the erstwhile 'National Guard' of the Sanchez Dynasty. The Queen's Guard was established by HRH Guérin Vincent, on 15th December 1911, as a direct opposing force to declining Sanchez Dynasty. It comprised volunteers and revolutionaries (both men and women) as well as mutineers of the Sanchez army and together with other the armies of the other 54 French noble governors, under the leadership of HRH, successfully defeated the Sanchez dynasty. The Queen's Guard then replaced the 'National Guard', disbanded the Sanchez Army following which Guérin Vincent reorganised the Mizia Armed Forces. On 24th December 1912, when Dutch and German feudal coalition announced their secession from the Kingdom, levée en masse(conscription) of all able bodied men between 18 and 25 years was introduced by a Royal Decree.

After the Civil War, the Armed Forces were reorganized in their present form. Unlike the earlier Sanchez dynasty, where each feudatory maintained their own armed forces, the reorganized Armed Forces were maintained by Her Majesty's Government. The Royal Decree 873 of 1920 gave HRH power to appoint 'any person she seems fit (including herself)' as the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. For most of its history, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces had been the reigning queens themselves, making Mizialand one of the few countries in the world to have women lead the armed forces. In 1988, HRH Sophie Vincent appointed His Royal Highness Pierre Vincent as the Commander in Chief. The Constitution of 2016 mandates the Prime Minister, the head of the government to be the Commander in Chief, as an effort to reduce the monarchy's involvement in the armed forces.

After economic liberalization of 1960s, Mizialand has shifted from being a net producer to net importer of the equipment of Armed Forces. Domestic production is met by state owned Mastrex as well as numerous private suppliers while other Imperion Coalition members particularly the Commoner Empire, are the main foreign suppliers.

Great Astyrian War is the only international conflict in which the Armed Forces have been involved. The Kingdom joined the Imperion Coalition in 2016 and has since then hosted two training centres for its Foreign Legion. It also sends legionnaires as a part of the Foreign Legion.

Standard Equipment

While certain equipment (such as fighter jets for the airforce) may be specific in their respective branch of the armed forces, the following are standard issues in all branches:

All of the aforementioned equipment is sourced from Wolf Armaments

Mizia Ground Forces

The Mizia Ground Forces, officially known as Armée royale, Koninklijk leger, and Königliche Armee is the land component of the armed forces. Under the Sanchez dynasty, the Army had a feudal organization where the monarch would call upon army controlled by nobles during the times of conflict. The Army underwent reorganization during the Civil War of 1912-1919.

The current army has around 150,00 active troops with reserve of around 60,000.

The main tasks of the Ground Forces include:

  • Maintaining the readiness of troops to repel aggression.
  • Armed defense of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Mizialand.
  • Protection and defense of state and military facilities.
  • Defense of the state border by land and air.
  • Peacekeeping missions.

Regional Commands

Currently, the ground forces include four regional commands:

  • Regional Command "Heleventia" (HQ Euskanina)
  • Regional Command "East" (HQ Dakota Boers)
  • Regional Command "West" (HQ L'Harve)
  • Regional Command "South" (HQ Thomasville)

These commands were all established in 2003.
