Emerstarains are a nation and an ethnic group native to [[Emerstari]] who speak the [[Emerstarian language]]. The Emerstarian identity is of an archaic origin, when they were known in [[Old Scanian]] as the ''Emerraskjú'' by themselves or the ''Vastenskyrúr'' by other [[Scanians|Scanian peoples]].


Emerstarians descend from the [[Norrnybyrrarer]] settlers who migrated northwest around 15,000 years ago. All of the land settled by the Norrnybyrrarer was united under the [[First Emerstarian Empire]] by the 750s BC. By the time of the empire's fall in the AD 400s, Northern Scanians had developed customs and an identity distinct from other parts of the empire. For the following 600 years, the [[Emerstarian Ennearchy]] had distinguished itself further from the other [[Northern Scanians]].

Emerstarian people (Emerstarian: Emersk) are a Scanian ethnic group and nation who are associated with the country of Emerstari. They descend from ancient populations of Scanians who migrated north 6,000 years ago from the Rhenish River to the Vernij River. Most Emerstarians speak Emerstarian as their first language, but other languages such as Halleran, Nordspreck, and Soumish are also spoken.
