Foreign relations of Joseon

The Great Kingdom of Joseon, a peninsula country in Asia adjacent to the Pacific Ocean, engages in diplomatic activities using its economic, political, military, and cultural influence as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, based on its geographical location connecting the continent and the Pacific Ocean. While ostensibly Joseon is known to engage in diplomatic activities based on multilateralism, the influence of political realism, which stems from its long-standing confrontation with neighboring countries, still has a significant impact on Joseon's diplomacy.

Joseon strengthened its cooperation with other countries as a member of the ICON, and this effort was strengthened by the formation of Allied forces during the New England War. ICON has now officially ended its activities, but Joseon has participated as a founding member of its new multilateral alliance, the Pan-Regional Multilateral Partnership.

  Allied- Countries in this category are those that have signed alliance treaties with Joseon, and they are politically close to Joseon compared to other countries.
  Friendly- Countries in this category have not signed an alliance treaty with Joseon, but nevertheless they are considered close to Joseon.
  Neutral- Countries in this category have little to do with Joseon, or they are not considered close to Joseon for various reasons despite the existence of interactions.
  Tense- Countries in this category are those that are considered to have bad relations with Joseon, or they are considered potential enemies to Joseon.
  Hostile- Countries in this category are those that are in conflict with Joseon or they are considered enemies of Joseon.

Meridon	Allied		Meridon has many political and cultural similarities with Joseon. The two countries worked together on several international issues, and recent examples of cooperation include the New England War and the November incident. Also, Joseon purchased quite a large-scale arms package from Meridon.
Anagonia	Allied		Anagonia is a country that shares political similarities with Joseon, and relations between the two countries began during the period when ICON was active. Even today, the two countries are still cooperating as members of the PRMP.
Eulabia	Allied		Despite the recent assessment of a decline in direct democracy in Eulabia, the relationship between the two countries has remained resolute. The two countries are cooperating on several issues, and Joseon acknowledges Eulabia's geopolitical claim in Kali Yuga.
Darlingtown	Allied		Darlingtown is a member of the PRMP, just like Joseon. Although there has been no active exchange between the two countries yet, Joseon's academia has taken a lot of interest in Darlingtown's unique national system based on AI.
Neo-Korea	Allied		Neo-Korea participated as a founding member of PRMP along with Joseon. Although there is no active exchange between the two countries and the difference in political systems between them is stark, Joseon recognizes Neo-Korea as one of its important political partners. However, the recent invasion of Matsume has made Joseon perceive Neo-Korea as an unpredictable country.
Blauveldt-Ryszana	Allied		Blauveldt-Ryszana, like Joseon, is a founding member of the PRMP. Although the two countries are officially allied, interactions between the two countries are inadequate compared to other PRMP members.
Boldonia	Friendly		Joseon and Boldonia achieved many exchanges in a short period based on political similarities between the two countries. The two countries regard each other as reliable diplomatic partners.
Etoile Arcture	Friendly		Etoile Arcture is Joseon's largest arms trading partner. A significant number of the military equipment of the Royal Joseon Armed Forces is made by Etoile Arcture's defense companies. Besides this, the two countries share a lot in common in the pursuit of values for human rights, etc.
Janpia	Friendly		Despite many political differences between the two countries, Joseon regards Janpia as a relatively reliable country. Both countries were once members of the ICON, and Joseon purchased a significant amount of weapons from Janpia.
Marquesan	Friendly		Due to the good relationship between Meridon and Marquesan, Joseon regards the Marquesan as a country that can trust and can cooperate. Joseon has purchased some naval equipment from Marquesan and is looking for ways to increase cooperation between the two countries.
Nifon	Neutral		Joseon considers Nifon to be an economic partner worth trading for and has purchased some military equipment from Nifon. However, Nifon's record of continuous repression of human rights and the possibility of conflict between SACTO and Eulabia are making Nifon unreliable.
Aureumterra	Neutral		When the alliance between Joseon and Sombreland was maintained, the possibility of a war between Joseon and Aureumterra was high. Joseon deployed troops to the border area and publicly declared military intervention in Sombreland. However, after Joseon ended its alliance with Sombreland and withdrew its troops from the area, the possibility of a conflict between the two countries decreased dramatically.
Sombreland	Neutral		Joseon and Sombreland had an alliance through the ICON, and the two countries maintained an alliance even after Sombreland left the ICON. However, after Joseon declared the end of the alliance between the two countries for various political and military reasons, the points of contact between the two countries drastically decreased.
Aeyariss	Neutral(Leaning Tense)		Due to the geographical distance between Joseon and Aeyariss, there are no elements of direct conflict between the two countries. However, due to the relationship between SACTO and Eulabia, and the recent increase in regional conflict due to the Solaris War, Joseon is watching Aeyariss with caution.
Swysia	Neutral		Swysia is an ally of Eulabia, but there is almost no interface between Swysia and Joseon. Swysia's authoritarian political system and rampant corruption are not respected by Joseon.
Svetvostok	Neutral		Despite some cultural similarities between Joseon and Svetvostok, the scale of exchanges between the two countries is not large. Svetvostok's relative indifference to issues outside the region is further reducing the diplomatic contacts between the two countries. However, due to Svetvostok's geographical proximity to Sombreland, and Svetvostok's recent increase in diplomatic and economic contacts with Neo-Korea and Janpia, Joseon intelligence agencies seem to be keeping an eye on Svetvostok.
Archinia	Tense		Archinia's actions in the November incident greatly damaged relations with Joseon. Although the conflict between the two countries has ostensibly subsided due to many subsequent actions, Joseon regards Archinia as a politically, diplomatically, and militarily unreliable country.
Kaskaida	Tense		Kaskaida has bad diplomatic relations with the PRMP's member states, Meridon, Anagonia, and Neo-Korea. Because of this, Joseon regards Kaskaida as a potential threat to its allies.
Arcadia	Tense		Due to the threat posed by Arcadia to Yuldo, Joseon highly values the possibility of a military conflict with Arcadia.
