The GHI Areranta (Tomucúlan: Scorpion) is a Narsoran main battle tank (MBT) developed by GHI Heavy Industries, designed over the course of eight years, the Areranta was developed to reduce the dependence on foreign made military hardware.

Development

The development of the Areranta began in response to the need to replace the army's aging main battle tank inventory, and the issues incurred during the 2009 Gonzalez Isle Conflict.
