A traditional Shenandoahan Army National Guard infantry squad consists of nine infantrymen and is generally commanded by a Sergeant. The remaining 8 members are divided into two fireteams, designated Alpha Team and Bravo Team. Each team consists of an automatic riflemen, a grenadier or marksman, and a riflemen, in addition to the Corporal leading each team. Riflemen are usually armed with the either the Redhawk Firearms M-3 Carbine or M-4 carbines, although the presence of older Redhawk Firearms M-4 Assault Rifles is not uncommon. Riflemen may also carry a single FGR-17 Viper for use against armored vehicles or structures.
Team leaders are often issued shorter rifles, generally the M-4A1E2D3 carbine with an 11 in barrel. This is to facilitate breaching tactics,a s team leaders are required to lead interior breaches. Though not considered standard equipment, many rifle team leaders also carry a short version of the Winchester Model 1200 often modified with a pistol grip and no stock.
Marksman are issued the Redhawk Firearms M-4 Precision Rifle to ease logistical strain, as the  M-4 Precision Rifle utilizes the same magazine, but different round, as the carbines issued to riflemen. For special applications, a marksman may be issued an Redhawk Firearms M-5 Precision Rifle in the larger 6mm Remington.
The reintroduction of the automatic riflemen into the squad makeup necessitated the development of a new automatic rifle, a particular weapon lacked by Shenandoahan Army National Guard since the retirement of the Grady Automatic Rifle, or M-1 Automatic Rifle, in 1963. In 2018, the Redhawk Firearms M-2 Automatic Rifle was accepted into service and began being issued to Army National Guard infantry units.
Grenadiers are also issued standard carbines or rifles, but are equipped with either an under barrel mounted Heckler & Koch AG-C/EGLM or Heckler & Koch HK69A1 depending on the rifle being used. Both weapon are an imported version of the Heckler & Koch AG-C/EGLM or Heckler & Koch HK69A1 respectively. These weapons are available in a standalone configuration but are not issued as such.

An infantry squad from the 14th Infantry Regiment.

Riflemen may also carry a single Bolton Arms M-2 Antitank Weapon for use against armored vehicles or structures.

Team leaders are often issued shorter rifles, generally the M-4A1E2D3 carbine with an 11 in barrel. This is to facilitate breaching tactics,a s team leaders are required to lead interior breaches. Though not considered standard equipment, many rifle team leaders also carry a short version of the Grady Repeating Arms M-2 Shotgun often modified with a pistol grip and no stock.

Marksman are issued the Redhawk Firearms M-4 Precision Rifle to ease logistical strain, as the M-4 Precision Rifle utilizes the same magazine, but different round, as the carbines issued to riflemen. For special applications, a marksman may be issued an Redhawk Firearms M-5 Precision Rifle in the larger .244 Blackrock.

Grenadiers are also issued standard carbines or rifles, but are equipped with either an under barrel mounted M-3 Grenade Launcher or M-1 Grenade Launcher depending on the rifle being used. Both weapon are an imported version of the Blitz & Keckler Anbaugranatwerfer 05 or Reich Ausrüstung Gesellschaft Anbaugranatwerfer 69 respectively. These weapons are available in a standalone configuration but are not issued as such.

Composition

The present day organization of the brigade was established in March of 1999, with all active divisions of the Shenandoahan Army National Guard were deactivated and dispersed into brigade sized elements to allow more tactical flexibility in deployment along the Shenandoahan-Copperhead border.

Operational Duty Uniform
Marines MARPAT.JPG
The Operational Duty Uniform is the current battledress uniform of the Shenandoahan Army National Guard. The Operational Duty Uniform is intended to replace the Army General Uniform in all formations of the Army National Guard, although many examples of the latter remain in service. Unlike its predecessor, the Army General Uniform, the Operational Duty Uniform was designed to be used with body armor, which previously restricted access to front pockets of both the uniform blouse and trousers. Although intended initially for wear in the field only, the Operational Duty Uniform is currently recognized as an acceptable duty uniform for in garrison troops as a working uniform, in conjunction with the General Issue Uniform. However, there are several restrictions on when and how the Operation Duty Uniform can be worn while in garrison.

The uniform features a distinctive camouflage pattern exclusive to the Army National Guard. The M2010 multi-scale camouflage pattern is formed of small rectangular pixels of color. In theory, it is a far more effective camouflage than standard uniform patterns because it mimics the dappled textures and rough boundaries found in natural settings. A woodland camouflage is the standard M2010 pattern, however, a winterized pattern exists for use in cold weather environments, though it is only applied to outer garments as part of the Inclement Weather Uniform

Army General Uniform

The Army General Uniform was an attempt by the Army National Guard to replace the General Issue Uniform and various camouflaged patterns in service with a single uniform which could be worn in both garrison and on deployment. While the uniform did succeed in replacing the various camouflaged patterns in service, it was never successful in supplanting the single-tone General Issue Uniform utilized by all three branches of the National Guard. The Army General Uniform is being phased out and replaced by the Operational Duty Uniform.
Inclement Weather Uniform

Authorized for wear with any standard uniform, the Inclement Weather Uniform consists of over 20 individual items designed to provide environmental protection to the wearer in temperatures ranging form -60 and +40 Fahrenheit. The Inclement Weather Uniform can be patterned in any operational camoflauge pattern, though it is currently produced in M2010 patterns for woodland, desert and winter environments.
General Issue Uniform
GeneralIssueUniform.jpg
First adopted in 1952, The General Issue Uniform is authorized for wear by all three branches of the Shenandoahan National Guard, though the color and devices may differ between branches. It is a general duty and utility uniform intended for wear by guardsmen in non-combat roles, as well as by soldiers in garrison. The uniforms are currently made from a poly cotton blend. The General Service Uniform has a unique field jacket for use during cold weather.
Army Service Uniform
ASUB.jpg
The Army Service Uniform is worn by Army National Guard personnel in situations where formal dress is called for. It can be worn at most public and official functions and is equivalent to any sort of civilian business attire. The Army Service Uniform is considered the dress uniform for enlisted personnel, and junior officers, with only senior officers being required to possess the Army Formal Uniform, although no prohibitions against enlisted or junior officers acquiring the Army Formal Uniform exist. Two versions of the Army Service Uniform exist, the Class A, and Class B. The difference between the two is that the Army Service Uniform Class A is worn with full-sized medals are worn on the left chest, with ribbon-only awards worn on the right, whereas on the Class B, medals are replaced with their corresponding ribbons and are consolidated on the left chest. The Class A uniform is considered to be more formal than the Class B variation, and is often unofficially referred to as the Army Dress Uniform.

The Army Service Uniform includes a dark olive drab four-pocket coat with belted waist, drab trousers, khaki shirt, olive tie, and brown leather oxfords for both men and women, with women having the option to wear a pencil skirt and pumps instead. Headwear consists of an olive garrison cap or an olive peaked service cap with brown visor; units with distinctive colored berets continue to wear them. Enlisted rank is indicated by chevrons worn on the upper sleeve, while officer rank is indicated by pins on the shoulder straps

The Army Service Uniform is also the standard duty uniform for all officers above the rank of Captain in the Army National Guard, who are only authorized to wear the General Issue Uniform as a daily uniform under certain circumstances, and may only wear the Operational Duty Uniform as a daily uniform when deployed for operations.

Army Formal Uniform
ArmyDressUniform.jpg
The Army Formal Uniform is intended for wear at formal occasions, and is generally worn as the military equivalent of white tie or black tie attire. Although any member of the Army National Guard may acquire the Army Formal Uniform (at their own cost), it is only required that Officers holding the rank of Colonel and above posses the uniform. Uniforms may also be worn with a greatcoat or boatcloak.
