The Silverdalean Navy is the marine defense force of the Silverdalean Armed Forces tasked to operate within Mystrian waters and abroad. It is the largest military branch in Silverdale, as it is the first line of defense from foreign invaders, to maritime trade defense, assist the marines in landings, and peacekeeping efforts across the ocean. Renown as the Silver-Gleam Fleet, Silverdale is a modern fleet with high usage of magitek and skilled in the Antarctica Waters.
History
The Silverdalean Navy was form when the states of Feydale and Crystalia's flotillas were joined together after the Crusade against the demonic hordes. In the Navy's early history was to secure and safeguard the seas and coast from monsters, and Leopard Sealling Raiders from the South Pole. Only when the Exploration to discovery of lands beyond the Aurora Sea and the South Pole alongside sailing technology was made where the first major reform to retrofit the Navy's purpose from defense to oceanic travel and frontline defense.
After the Silverdalean Civil War and the transformation into the Republic, Silverdale's new naval doctrine was form to to maintain the stability of its waters, monsters, and protection from foreign threats. It became known as the development of its anti-submarine and monster technology with advance submarines, and aircraft carriers was proven useful to detect enemy submarines and monsters. Which was known in the Kraken War as its ASW detonated many underwater creatures.
Organization
The Silverdalean Navy falls under the administration of the Department of the Navy, run by the civilian leadership of the Secretary of the Navy. The most senior of the navy is the Chief of Naval, appointed from a high ranking admiral, who reports to the Secretariat of the Navy and takes part in thee Joint Chiefs of Staff, the second highest form of the chain of command. Both the Chief of Naval and Secretary of the Navy are responsible for the overall organization, equipment, and training of the Navy.
Operating Forces
There are six components in the operating forces of the Silverdalean Navy: Silverdalean Aurora Fleet, Silverdalean Snow Fleet, Silverdalean Mystrean Fleet, Silverdalean Pony Lands Fleet, the Navy Reserve, and the Silver Aegis.
