History

The Majilis-Ash-Shura was established as a bi-cameral legislature in 1923 with a house to represent the nobles and a house to represent the commoners (similar to today). In 1930, the house representing the commoners was abolished however in 2020 it was re-established due to the bravery of commoners in the Allied Tribe War.

Politic composition

The main party in the Shuraa Al-Sharifs (translated as House of Nobles) is the Sharifistani Liberal Party whilst in the Shura-nin-Temsilciler (House of Representatives) the Sharifistani Labour Party has the most seats followed by the Islamic Liberty Party (Sharifistan) (another party in the Alliance for Justice.)
