Hemicyon, officially Grupo Hemicyon S.R.L., is a Latio-Aligonian private military and security company founded in 1996 by Sid Amer Vigo and Bento Amorin, two mercenaries and former members of the Xendarmeria, with financial support from Duke Alexandre del Villar of Tarraron as Solutorii S.R.L.; in 2003, it rebranded to Grupo XI, and again rebranded and restructured in 2011 to Praesidium Periclea. Following the abdication of Prince Veremundo in 2018,
Praesidium Periclea merged with Garza-based contractor La Espada Security Solutions to form the current Hemicyon.

Individual equipment
Hemicyon and its predecessors have often provided contractual security services for the Latin, Garzan, Gran Aligonian, and Sydalene governments, as well as for many corporations concerned with resource extraction.Hemicyon is noted for its relatively opaque public image; while reportedly employing over 30,000 people including 5-7,000 combat-capable contractors, all employees are required to sign a binding non-disclosure agreement, as of 2023, only four individuals have violated this NDA due to "fear of reprisals", a claim which the Hemicyon board has vehemently denied. While the group operates worldwide, its continued association with the Latinic sphere and particularly with its benefactor, Alexandre del Villar, has led to many accusations against Hemicyon that it serves as a non-state actor of Latin security apparatus. It has previously been contracted by the Latin Speculatores, and ____.
