The 1988 Salamati presidential election took place on 23 April 1988 in Salamat.
The country was led by the Mushir Jalil Al Kharrabi since the 1977 coup. After winning the 1981 Salamati Presidential Elections with 100% of the votes, he reinforced his grip over the country, with the help of the army.
The only participant was Jalil Al Kharrabi, representing the now-banned Party for a Socialist Salamat (PSS). He again gained 100% of the votes.
