History

3rd Army was stood up in October 2005 just a few weeks after the conclusion of the Imerti Conflict escalation with Ruvelka. Following the outbreak of the Zemplen War 3rd Army was assigned to Army Group Alpha in the northern section of the border, under the command of Colonel General Vladislav Ivov Kochanov. 3rd Army played a minor role during the August Offensive and a supporting role during the Battle of Sarud. Following Operation Aspis 3rd Army engaged in heavy fighting during the Ruvelkan Winter Counter-Offensive. Despite not being a major target, the army suffered noticeable losses during the winter fighting. In spring of 2009 3rd Army engaged in major operations around the city of Kunhegyes, eventually capturing it in July. 3rd Army played a supporting role in Operation Overshadow, after which it undertook several small scale offensives throughout the winter of 2009-2010. 3rd Army was the primary target of Operation Homefront in the north, and within a few days was forced to retreat. Much of the army's heavy equipment was lost before it reconstituted itself back in Syara. After the war 3rd Army was assigned to Realm Force Hayreniky in 2014.
