The AAT-40 transport, or the Atmospheric Assault Transport, is a multi-role transport utilized by the Union Defense Forces of the Galactic Union. They mainly serve as troop and supply transports in the UDF Army. The front of the gunship has two double cockpits where the pilot and co-pilot/gunner sat in single file and can be sealed off from the rest of the gunship. A AAT-40 gunship can carry 50 UDF troopers in its main hold, significantly more than the 10 that can be held by the AAG-10 gunship. It can also hold up to four speeders in the main hold, which can be deployed via the aft and side ramps. The transports had the ability to carry a single TTAV-10 over a planetary surface at low altitude.
