The Amathian-Soravian Traditional International Friendship Association, usually known simply as the Amathian-Soravian Friendship Association is an organization and a cultural association formed after the initiative of the administration of West Arciluco in 1955, with the purpose of fostering and developing the friendship and cultural relations between the peoples of Amathia and Soravia. It was developed from several already existing groups in both countries, after a founding congress was held in the Amathian capital of East Arciluco.
The Association outlived the Equalist regime which stood behind its creation, and continues to remain and important force to this day. Despite describing itself as a strictly cultural group, and despite it not being associated with any single political force, the Association is known to have constantly supported the maintaining of good relations between Amathia and Soravia by many means, and it was one of the strongest opponents of Amathia's entrance into the Euclean Community and into the Gaullophonie.
Today, the Association is one of the largest Amathian cultural organizations, and its efforts are focused on an extensive cultural program, on festivals, education and exchange programs, and on promoting the learning of Soravian as a foreign language in Amathia. Members also routinely support Euclosceptic meetings and organizations, and are well known for its lasting rivalry with the similar but fundamentally opposed Gaullican-Amathian Friendship Association.
