Anastasia Mosoco is an Aisling socialite, former model, fashion designer and current owner and creative designer of Mosoco, a luxury goods line based in Charilla which specializes in leather goods and designer attire. Born in Charilla in 1974, she was the sole child to Artur Mosoco, former scion of the renowned Mosoco family. In 1992, he announced that Anastasia would be the heiress of the family name and fortune, and completely cutting out his brother Nicolau Mosoco from the family fortune following a botched assassination attempt in 1990.
Personal life
Anastasia Mosoco was born on March 21, 1974 to Artur Mosoco, CEO of Mosoco at the time, and his wife Clíona Mosoco, a former model. The couple resided in Charilla, a suburb of Fife in southern Temuair. She was named for the wife of Faolan Mosoco, Anastasia's great grandfather.
At age 16, Anastasia was at home when two gunmen broke into her home with the intent to assassinate her father. One of the gunmen shot Artur Mosoco in the stomach, while the second was subdued by a member of the household staff before being shot dead. The remaining gunmen escaped after killing the staff members. Finding her father wounded in the hallway, Anastasia contacted the police who arrived to transport her father to safety.
Anastasia attended Charilla High School from 1988 to 1992, graduating with average grades. Despite this, she was able to secure a place at the prestigious Kozar School of Business in Ira. Though she denies it, it is commonly believed that her place at the school was purchased for her by her father, as he grades would not have allowed her to meet the schools entrance standards. While attending KBS, she befriended Lucía Corzo, a fellow student at the university, also majoring in business management. She met her future husband Gillebeart Brea, a serving officer with the Aisling Defense Force while attending KSB, and the two married in 1993. In 1995, after completing only two years at KSB, and in danger of failing her third year, she obtained permission from her father to withdraw from the school and instead pursue a degree in fashion design from the Del Rego Institute of Design in Olina. She completed this degree in 2001 at the age of 27.
Career
Anastasia went to work for Mosoco in 2003, working under the direction of the company's creative designer, Paulo Barcia. She continued to work under Barcia's direction until his retirement in 2012. During this time, she also did some minor modeling work for the company, specific for the company's foray into cosmetics as it attempted to compete with Neurogenia. In 2013, with her fathers blessing, Anastasia choose to appoint her college friend Lucía as President and CEO of Mosoco, electing to takeover the ownership and creative design role of the company, but choosing to not continue to operate it directly. According to an interview with Enterprise, Anastasia said she chose to relinquish direct operational control of the company to her friend because she was much better suited to the task.
