Arasaka Precision Industries is a Dayashinese arms company. Established by Kaneyoshi Arasaka in 1892, the company started its business by supplying arms to the Imperial Dayashinese Army. Arasaka is known for its design, engineering, and manufacturing of firearms throughout Dayashina's modern history to supply its armed forces, alongside other nations, with firearms. The most famous Arasaka products include the Type 38 rifle, the standard issue rifle of the Imperial Dayashinese Army throughout the Pan Septentrion War, and the M3 platform, which currently serves as the standard issue weapon of the Republic of Dayashina Defence Forces. Dayashinese Association miltaries all use Arasaka products, alongside the militaries of Themiclesia, Macchia, and Bangana.
History
Pan-Septentrion War
Arasaka blossomed to prominence during the leadup and unraveling of the Pan-Septentrion War. The once small company started by Kaneyoshi Arasaka exploded onto the scene when Imperial Dayashinese Army and Navy officials expressed interest in procuring its family of rifles and subsequent ammunition, most prominently, the Type 38. The Type 38, first introduced in 1906, was considered one of the best bolt-action rifles of its time, proving to be reliable through intense destruction tests and introducing concepts like polygonal rifling. They are well-known for the chrysanthemum seal placed upon the receivers of all Imperial-owned models. The Type 38 and subsequent derivatives such as the Type 97 sniper rifle, and successors such as the Type 99 served as the mainstay standard issue weapons of the Imperial Dayashinese Army throughout the war, garnering a lethal reputation. Arasaka was also involved in the procurement of many other Dayashinese small arms of the time, such as the Type 92 heavy machine gun and Type 99 light machine gun.
Postwar
After the conclusion of the Pan-Septentrion War following the surrender of Imperial Dayashina, Arasaka continued to produce and update small arms, though on a limited basis. Following the end of the occupation in 1950 and subsequent jumpstarting of the Dayashinese military-industrial complex, Arasaka returned to full scale production of its family of rifles, including semi-automatic successors, which saw use throughout the Hanhae War. Since then, Arasaka has continuously produced many standard issue weapons for the Republic of Dayashina Defence Forces, most prominently, the M3 platform.
