The Armed Forces of Vedmed are the armed forces of the Republic of Vedmed. The Armed Forces were established after the Sostava War on July 12th of 1980. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is the Premier. The Armed forces is the 25th largest military force in Kylaris. They consist of Vedmed Ground Forces, Vedmed Airborne Troops, and the Vedmed Air Force.


Under Vedmedi Law they are subordinate to the Ministry of Defense during wartime and peace they also serve variety of law enforcement functions in conjunction with the Ministry of the Interior and military functions.



Command organization

The Armed Forces of Vedmed are divided into four main service branches, Vedmed Ground Forces, Vedmed Airborne Troops, and the Vedmed Air Force., and the Special Operations of the Vedmedi Republic.

There exists several organizations within Vedmed that also serve under the distinction of 'Armed Forces' most notably the State Police Force, and the Vedmedi Security Force in accordance with the new structure put forward by the 1997 Military Reforms in order to modernize the Vedmed Armed Forces and Police Forces.

The personnel of the Vedmed Armed Forces is regulated by the 1980 Constitution of the Vedmedi Republic. As per Premier Directive No 198 the total number of personnel sits at x. There is an estimated x ex-conscripts within Vedmed who have completed their service rotation within the last ten years.
