Arzhur Frañsez Mézec (Born 9 August, 1887), is the current Captain-General of the United Provinces. Growing up in a middle-class Bretoned family in the prosperous canton of Lanvaeleg, he studied law before launching a highly successful career as a lawyer. Mézec became involved in the burgeoning Centre Party, eventually abandoning his career as a lawyer to work in politics full time, being elected as Senator for Lanvaeleg, and later taking leadership of the Centre Party, leading it to a landslide victory in the 1930 Elections.
