Barthelemy Archibald Beaumont, 9th Duke of Ramsford (born 28 May 1951), is a Cordonian peer. He was the former patriarch of the Beaumont family and was the former duke of Ramsford from 1967–2007. He suffered from a stroke and went into a vegetative state in February 2007. Beaumont's title transferred to his elder son Bertrand, The 10th Duke of Ramsford, after a royal decree and assent was signed by the late King Constantine. In 2021, Beaumont awoke from his vegetative state and began physical therapy in the American state of Texas before a surprise appearance of his late son's wedding to Savannah, the Duchess of Ramsford. Though his elder son is the legal incumbent of the title and role of Duke of Ramsford, Bertrand transferred the responsibilities of the Beaumont House and Ramsford duchy to Beaumont in January 2021. The responsibilities transferred back to Bertrand after Beaumont was convicted of attempting a coup d'état against King Liam. He is currently serving life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Notes

  1. 1.0 1.1 The Duchess is not the biological or adopted daughter of The Duke. Instead, she is considered an honorary member of his house by royal decree and assent. She is therefore legally a member of the House of Beaumont, making The Duke her honorary father.
