The Battle of Sárkeszi (Known to the Syarans as Operation Epitagma), was a battle between Ruvelka and Syara during the Zemplen War.

Following the bloody fighting of the Ruvelkan Autumn Counter-Offensive, the Syaran Commonality Armed Forces suspended major offensives and focused soley on local operations. Operation Epitagma was designed to drive Syaran forces closer to Polgardi, potentially seeking a pass through the Kurilla Mountains towards Debrecen. Ruvelkan forces dug into the city of Sárkeszi between Sagerejo and Polgardi to block the Syaran attack. Unable to break through the Ruvelkan defenses and unwilling to commit to a sustained assault, 1st Army's commander Colonel General Marko Kukolja called off the attack on 1 December. It was Syara's only effort to advance towards Polgardi since the Syaran Spring Offensives, and would be their last.
