Buana Mawarputra is a Negaran statesman and the former President of Negara, often colloquially referred to in Negaran media as "Buna." Early Life and Education
Buana Mawarputra was born in southern Negara, in Kota Panaitan, Panaitan Province, to a lower-middle-class family as the son of Mawar Meraputri, a single woman. Buana expressed an interest in the army from a young age, and in school he achieved a reputation as an under-achiever, excelling in history, literature, and sport. He received a full scholarship from the Karl Strom Boys' Academy and graduated in 1973. After his graduation, he joined the Negaran Republican Army, entering an officer course, and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in 1975.
