The CA-13 Rótvaidhléir (English: Rottweiler) is a second-generation main battle tank developed by Monarcha Ríoga Tanc in the early 1960s for the Ossorian Armed Forces. It's official designation is Carbad Armúrtha 13 (Armored Chariot 13) and is designated as a Feithicil Marcra Armúrtha (Armored Cavalry Vehicle) or FMA by the Ossorian military. It entered production and service in 1965 with the Royal Ossorian Army and the Ossorian Royal Guard but has since been decommissioned in favor of the CA-16 Bocsaeir and CA-18 Maistín main battle tanks.

Armament

The Rótvaidhléir is armed with a 105 mm/52-calibre main gun and is equipped with 55 rounds, which can include: APDS, APFSDS, HESH, HEAT, high explosive (HE), smoke, anti-personnel, and illumination rounds.

The secondary armament consists of a 12.7 mm anti-aircraft machine gun (600 rounds) and a 6.5 mm coaxial machine gun (4,500 rounds).

Protection

The Rótvaidhléir uses welded steel plates with extensive sloped armor to defeat armor-piercing shells and other penetrators.

Mobility

The Rótvaidhléir is powered by a 10-cylinder two-stroke cycle diesel engine providing 750 hp (560 kW), providing approximately 19 hp/tonne. The maximum quoted road speed of the tank is 55 km/h; however, speeds of 60 km/h have been achieved.

Accommodation

Similar to every Ossorian tank and armored vehicle built since 1946, the Rótvaidhléir comes equipped with a boiling vessel for heating water for use preparing and heating food and drink.
