The Chancellor of Ruvelka, officially the Imperial Chancellor of the Grand Principality of Ruvelka, is the head of government of Ruvelka and ranks as the most senior government minister. Ruvelka’s first Chancellor was Rózsá Prohászka who was appointed to the post by the first Federal Assembly in the aftermath of the Ruvelkan Civil War.
The incumbent Chancellor is Márthe Pryde who is currently serving as the eighteenth Chancellor of the Federal Assembly. Márthe was appointed to the position by Monika Prohászka on 20 August 2019 and confirmed by the Assembly on 23 August 2019. She is a member of the Independent Socialist Party, but is seen as more progressive than her predecessor.
The position is appointed by Ruvelka’s Royal Princess—normally an individual most likely to command the confidence of the Peoples’ Assembly—and confirmed via vote by the Federal Assembly. Historically this individual has been the leader of the political alliance that holds the largest number of seats in the Assembly.
