Charles-Gauthier de Fluery was a Blaykish officer and colonial administrator who served from 1745 to 1778 as Captain of Condor-Royal, the main military installation of the Blaykish Empire off the coast of Huran. He is mostly famed for his participation in the war against the Hong Dynasty on the side of the Prince of Tan. For his role as military advisor, supplier, and campaign general, he was rewarded under by the new Tan Dynasty with the honorary title of "Duke" (gong) as well as various properties and social privileges.
However Charles-Gauthier, as the leader of his own political Clique in Huran, had an execrable relationship with the "Adventurers" Party, most famously represented by Jean-Baptiste Chatellier. His political career in Huran would be cut short when in 1778 he was recalled to Blayk to answer for his mismanagement of public funds, misappropriation of military supplies, abuse of authority, smuggling, and general corruption. Having left for Auressia but never actually reached it, he is presumed to have died en-route in a shipwreck.
