The People's Kingdom of Cherakh or simply Cherakh is a Proletarianist Theocracy in Farvara, consisting of around 8 total provinces. To the north it is bordered by Tokarta and Narong, and to the south Muhnvie and Ilankai. To the east and west state enjoys a long coastline, bordering both the Lazin Sea and Emerian Ocean.

Cherakh originated from the destructive Acanic Civil Wars in 1721, in which religious splits led to the collapse of the once mighty Acanic polity. This war, caused by religious splits, saw the various states of Akai join into groups based on their affiliation. Cherakh was just one of these leagues, made up of at least 8 kingdoms. The League, aligning with other polities, fought for independence against the Lazins. Decades later, as the Acanic Civil War finally concluded at the Treaty of Akasha Akai agreed to revoke all claims to mainland Farava in exchange for a cession of all hostilities, and the acceptance that all kingdoms have distinct sovereignty that cannot be encroached upon by other states. This treaty was important in establishing the modern Midgarad nation state, setting a precedent for how other regions could order their respective rules of diplomacy. With this newfound freedom the domains were unable to agree upon how to proceed with the League. Three domains decided to align and centralize the kingdom, installing the Gopali Yogi, who began both ambitious modernization at home, and conquests abroad. His achievements include the creation of a nationwide civil service, the construction of hundreds of temples and universities, and the creation of the world renowned Cheraki Armed Forces. However the state's hubris led it towards several destructive naval conflicts which would destroy much of the modernized Cherakhi navy, forcing it to accept greater cooperation with Ambrose. Eventually Cherakh would become a protectorate of Ambrose, however was still autonomous in every other measure. The son of the Gopali Yogi, Raja Gopali I, would begin a new round of modernization. The Raja sent many students to Ambrose to learn "Aldinean methods", support industrialization, and rebuild the Cherakhi navy. He set Cherakh on a course to become a major industrial and trade powerhouse.

Cherakh would become a massive trade power in Farava, importing valuable spices, ivory, and textiles from other countries in the region. It also would have it's own industrial revolution, with new business magnates building up factories. The government began to infringe on the rights of the traditional nobility to support this, and made land private with the so called Akasha Declarations of Property. These new factories were a center for a massive new labor movement, which called for greater proletarian rights. In 1915 this movement seized power in the Cherakh Revolution, creating a Proleratianist State. While initially popular it's fierce anti-religious stance led it to be overthrown by the Union of the Devout, a proto-Sorelian theocratic trade union which wanted to create a total workers state in 1925. The People's Kingdom would install a new Raja and clergy, along with fully starting up central planning and ending market mechanisms. The Union of Devout began massive programs to centralize the country and improve living standards, urbanizing even the most remote areas and setting up a universal healthcare system. They established a clear socialist system, radically reshaping the country. In 60s-70s the country would create a national computerized planning network utilizing cybernetics, which ended the shortages the nation's economy had faced. These new planning systems, along with new economic reforms, allowed Cherakh to become one of the most prosperous states in the Proleratianist bloc.

Today Cherakh is a member of the International, and seen as a regional power. It is aligned heavily with Hitotami and Ambrose, supporting them against Akai, Sjealand, and other WADO or WADO aligned states. Cherakh has large military forces, however it's lack of focus in any specific area has allowed Akai to dominate the Lazin Sea, a major geopolitical loss. It's army ranks as one of the most formidable in Southern Farava, and it posses a large technologically advanced airforce. The country also has a large diplomatic presence all over the world, hoping to have countries recognize the Acanic threat. Regionally it runs the Southern Favara Group, an anti Acanic alliance. The country defines itself vis a vis the Lazins, seeing itself as the main opposing force to them.

While opposed to Akai, the government of Cherakh retains the totalitarian, and esoteric nature of the Acanic government. It is headed by a Raja with defined powers, thus making it a Constitutional Monarchy. Most power in the country is retained by the clergy, trade unions and various syndicates. The clergy is meritocratic in nature, with members of it unable to procreate, or enter into any type of relationship. New recruits into the clergy must pass exams at a young age and enter into the tutelage of a senior yogi. The yogi will train them to restrain their senses, cutting off contact with the rest of the world, and training them for leadership. These yogis staff much of the higher levels in government ministries, along with supervising syndicates. Yogis are also the only people in the nation with the power of franchise, selecting the countries legislature. As a consequence instead of mass mobilization campaigns as in other countries, politics in Cherakh occurs within the elite strata, with various warring factions duelling in secret. At the local level most governance is done by democratically elected syndicates, who manage the workplace; and in coordination with the clergy, the economy as well. Syndicates also elect representatives to higher up economic boards through soviet democracy. Due to the large degree of education yogis are given, and the weight of elite responsibility Cherakh enjoys an extremely competent however illiberal and totalitarian governance. It is a "total state", with every organ working together into a total body.
