Cordonian royal family
The Cordonian royal family is the reigning family of Cordonia. It comprises of King Liam and his close relations. Though there is no strict legal definition, the lists of members of the royal family has decreased during the reign of King Constantine. Members of the royal family support the monarch in undertaking public engagements, charity work, political advising and improving the public image of Cordonia. The political powers of the monarch have been limited since the 19th-cenutry but still affect the politics of Cordonia and its members are regarded as cultural symbols of the country and of Europe as a whole.

Titles and surname
The monarch's children and grandchildren are automatically entitled to be known as a prince or princess and use of His or Her Royal Highness. Royal princedoms and dukedoms are usually bestowed by the monarch to their children on the day of their 18th birthday. Descendants of King Dirk I are entitled to use the surname Ryan. Surnames are generally not needed by members of the royal family who bear the title of prince or princess, but the surname Ryan is used when the rare occasion requires one, e.g. Monika, the Princess of Orange, lists her name as Monika Ryan.
