Prince Leonardo, Duke of Moselle[a] (Leonardo Theodore Karl Ryan; born 13 July 1983), is a member of the Cordonian royal family. He is the son of King Constantine and his first wife, Princess Matilda. He was the former heir apparent to the Cordonian throne from 1983–2018 and later abdicated from the line of succession in 2018. His brother King Liam succeed him and became king of Cordonia in 2021.
During his time in public life as the Prince of Cordonia, he was active in the arts, parliamentary issues and substance abuse treatment and prevention. Leonardo spent his time as a patron of several charities. As a teenager, he was known for his rebellion and would often get into trouble. He faced some criticism for not covering up his alcoholism in his early twenties.
Since 2018, Leonardo has been a private citizen although he still retains his title and style. He has no active royal duties but still occasionally participates and attends functions and parties with Cordonian nobility.
Early life and education
Leonardo was born on 13 July 1983 at 12:39 UTC+02:00 at the Applewood Manor in Cordonia, as the first-born child of King Constantine and Princess Matilda. He was born the heir apparent to the Cordonian throne and his birth was marked by many landmarks, including the illumination of the World Trade Center in New York, the E Corp Center in the financial district, Cordonia, the London Eye, the CN Tower in Toronto, among others. He was christen a week later on 20 July 1983 by Pope John Paul II, the first christening by a Catholic in Cordonian history, with water from the Dead Sea. He descends from the House of Ryan on his father's side and the House of Grimaldi on his mother's side.

In 2022, he married businesswoman Jennifer Sloan née Dunham. Leonardo is a permanent resident of the United States and intends to become a dual citizen of Cordonia and the United States. They have a son, Prince Julius of Moselle. They reside full-time in California although they do maintain a residence in Portavira.
