History
Founding
Golden Age
Sergio De Luca rose to the position of Padrino in 1951, his righthand man was Salvatore "Mad Sal" Trentini, a notorious enforcer who terrified many within the De Luca Family, and is today believed to have been a sociopath, reportedly delighting in torturing his victims.
De Luca massively expanded the families activities, first establishing dominance over Romani City before becoming the de facto godfather of godfathers in the Zitassan mafia, expanding it to Eastern Avergnon and Gasheura.
In 1967, with many fearing what Trentini would do if he was allowed to become Padrino a hit was put out on him, and on the morning of April 3rd 1967 made man Emanuele Ricci pulled up to Trentini's home at 5 am, when Trentini walked out the door Ricci fired 6 shots at him, with Trentini being hit twice in the chest, once in the leg, and once in the neck. Ricci quickly drove off and Trentini was pronounced dead on arrival at the Romani City Hospital.
De Luca was enraged at his longtime friends death and when he found out that Ricci had committed the murder he had him hung from a meat hook at the families headquarters and left there to starve as an example to the other members of the family.
In 1970 he would be killed accidentally in a police raid on his home, though some believe that the Padrino of the Romano Family, Manuel Romano, paid the police to intentionally kill him, and this is a belief held by many in the family today, with a fierce rivalry being in place since then.
