The Defense Forces of Nise are the armed forces of the Republic of Nise. The Defense Forces were established after the Twilight Revolution on January 15th of 1949 by the Defense Forces Act of 1949 by the First Niseran Parliament placing all former Royal Niseran Armed Forces under the command of the first elected President. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces is the President. The Defense force is the xth largest military force in Kylaris. They consist of Niseran Ground Forces, the Niseran Navy, and the Niseran Air Force. The Defense Forces of Nise are tasked with the defense of Nise, humanitarian aid, and supporting international peacekeeping operations. All branches of the military are organized under the Minister of Defense. The Defense Forces of Nise compose of approximately x active personnel, x reserve personnel, and x conscripts coming into the Defense Forces every year rotating on a 12-24 month basis.

Units of the Niseran Defense Forces are currently deployed internationally, serving a variety of roles from military advisors, to peacekeepers. The Defense Forces maintain close relations with the EC and neighboring nations actively participating in a number of military exercises. Despite not officially declaring a war, it has fought in a variety of conflicts most notably the Anniserian War, the wider Urí Margidda Conflict, and the Rahelian War

Under Niseran Law they are subordinate to the Ministry of Defense during wartime and peace they also serve variety of law enforcement functions in conjunction with the Ministry of the Interior and military functions.



Command organization

The Defense Forces of Nise are divided into three main service branches, Niseran Ground Forces, the Niseran Navy, and the Niseran Air Force, and one specialty troop branch, Marolev Airborne Troops, and the Special Forces of Nise.

The personnel of the Niseran Defense Force are regulated both by the Constitution and Niseran Military Law.
