Nise, (Rahelian: جمهورية نيس المتحد) officially the Republic of Nise, is a sovereign state in Northern Couis. Sharing a border with Tsabara to the South, Sohar to the East, and the Gulf of Assoniare to the West. Nise has a total population of 10.6 Million citizens making it the 47th largest nation in Kylaris by population. The only official languages in Nise is Rahelian, and Estmerish there is four other notable languages spoken in the nation. The capital city is Madinat, the largest city is Ghatakia other major cities include . The predominant religion in Nise is Asha Ifrani followed by roughly 79% of the nation.

The area that modern Nise is composed of during ancient times was called filler due to the Urí Margidda Valley. The extensive river valley gave rise to several large city states and eventually the rise of the Anniseran Empire and its subsequent collapse. Following the collapse of the Anniserian Empire in the 2nd Century BCE and the subsequent formation of various City States throughout Nise, the Solarian Empire would have conquered the majority of Modern Day Nise by 80 BCE. By the turn of the millennium Anniseria would be conquered from the Solarian Empire by the Second Holy Dominion. By 1000 AD, and the subsequent shrinking of the Third Holy Dominion, the establishment of the Emirate of Madinat and the Emirate of Ghatakia would rise to be the dominant states and have continual conflict over the Urí Margidda Valley and become a prominent players in fighting against the many crusades launched by Euclean States in what is now Tsabara.

Following the defeat of filler leader the Emir of Madinat would conquer the Emirate of Ghatakia and declare himself Sultan of Nise founding the Sultanate of Nise. During the 15th century and up until it's collapse Niseran Pirates would plague the Gulf of Assoniare up until the Estmerish-Madinat War

During the late 19th Century the Sultanate of Madinat would collapse following an Estmerish invasion which seized the Urí Margidda Delta and Madinat. This collapse resulted in a variety of small states appearing up and down the Uri Margidda River and along the Coast which Estmere would spend the next several decades subjugating and conquering up until the beginning of the 20th Century. Soon after Estmere would establish the Sultanate of Nise as a protectorate using a relative of the former filler dynasty as a figurehead. During the Great War Niseran Colonial troops would fight against Gaullican colonial troops and Nise would be occupied. Niseran troops would meet a similar fate during the Solarian War fighting against Etrurians.

Following shortly after the Solarian War Nise would gain its independence. During the Twilight Revolution the Sultan would become deposed by a combination of the Niserian Military and several political groups. Since achieving independence Nise has been in a constant conflict with X over the Urí Margidda Valley, with several wars being fought collectively known as the Urí Margidda Conflict. Throughout the latter half of the 20th Century Nise has interfered in a number of conflicts with an emphasis on countering Socialist Governments and groups most notably the First Rahelian War and the Second Rahelian War Nise has rose to prominence as a regional player within Rahelia as a military and economic power.

The Government of Nise is a Federal constitutional republic with a bicameral legislature and an independent judiciary. Nise is a member of the Community of Nations, Aurean Forum, ITO, and the GIFA. The economy of Nise is one of the strongest in Northern Coius with a GDP of $220.3 Billion it maintains a large petrochemical sector, with contributions from its tourism sector and a significant arms industry. A major issue currently effecting the Niseran Economy is the large wealth disparity that currently exists between the richest and poorest of Niseran citizens.
