The Democratic-Republican Party was a major political party that existed in Arabi from 1831 until 1900. The party existed during the First Party System (1839-1899) with its main rival the Federal Party. The last president from the Democratic-Republican Party was James Bowen, who was president from 1891 until 1899. The party was formally dissolved in 1900 with the Liberal Socialist Party being its successor.
