Echo Point Phi, or echo.phi as it is colloquially called on the internet is a self-proclaimed grassroots peace organization that is mostly made out of hackers and people with access to the Dark Web. Their name has been concluded to be without any concrete meaning, but rather is something that has come to be from the often nonsensical naming conventions of Tsokeikan fiction, animation and comics - code;pink being another famous example.

Their initial goal was the freedom of information and expression, to what many would consider a fanatical degree. In their early days they committed themselves to minor vigilantism, hacking into the memory banks of companies and police stations in order to take copies of their security videos and then leak them online as a way of giving the public the means to give them their own justice. As the activities of the group group, so did their ideals and goals. About a year later they had successfully infiltrated the firewalls of several governments and put a couple politicians and higer-ups into court for numerous charges including, but not limited to sexual assault, labour law violations, tax evasion and corruption. As part of their Modus Operandi, all information they get a hold of will be leaked unless they can get more information and data by waiting. When they are certain no more information can be gathered, they publish a compiled leak on video sharing sites, blogs, Leakipdia, and etcetera.

No formal leader has been found yet, but key players has been identified by their usernames and some have even been caught on camera either voluntarily or.

Name

As previously mentioned, their name has been concluded to be without any concrete meaning, but rather is something that has come to be from the often nonsensical naming conventions of Tsokeikan fiction, animation and comics - code;pink being another famous example.

Uniform, Fashion and Attire

Although there is no strict uniform for the members of Echo Point Phi, it is clear that most of Echo Point Phis members dress in a similar style to one another in an aesthetic called "techwear". Black, dark grey and navy modern and/or military patterns on rain coats, backpacks, shirts and cargo pants with lots of pockets and straps is usually the norm, but details painted on with white acrylic seems to be a trend within the group as well.

History and Philosophy

Freedom of Information

The initial and proclaimed goal of Echo Point Phi is what they call "the freedom of information for everyone". What has been interpreted from this based on the organizations website, videos and other messages is the unhindered access to all secrets and data accumulated by everyone including the business secrets of great mega-corporations, information of secrecy of governments and the data generated by the common citizen. In the opinion of Echo Point Phi, if it makes the public at least question those in power it is worthy of being leaked out - but that of course has not stopped copycats and want-to-be members to leak more petty information about, for example, their bosses or an unfavourable colleague.

Echo Point Phi has also been a vocal protester against copyright and patents, often stealing and recovering copyrighted material and business secrets from larger corporations with the goal of making it public knowledge. They also target companies that aggressively exercise this right in court with DDoS attacks, outages and standard hacking, hard-drive searching and virus planting.

Peace

Since mid-early 2017 after the Spring War the terrorist organization started to change their rhetoric, tactics and goals in order to grow their following by protesting against the heavy use of nuclear warheads that was a constant threat among the nations of Anteria. By doing so the previously mainly online group started to receive a following off-line and protests were arranged internationally where it was deemed safe and legal to do so. However, in a post on 'Epsilon's blog on Echo Point Phis website, the de facto leader 'Epsilon' still felt their words lacked teeth and commanded the more technologically gifted individuals of the growing organization to target the systems of weapon manufacturers and militaries in order to plant viruses, shut down and cause as much trouble and problems as they could for what he called "the prophets of death".
