In Esthursia, the Edwardian era was a period in the early and mid 20th century, that spanned the reign of Edward V from 1906 to 1947. It often, but not always, encompasses the short reign of his son, George IX, between February and April of 1947.

The era is dated from the death of King Rickard XII, which marked the end of the turbulent Rickardian era. Historian Irmen Haltburne commented that the Edwardian era encompassed the transition of Esthursia from its 19th century classical-liberal state with a "stagnant economy, conspicuous aristocracy, nightwatchman state and reclusive yet regal King in a time of enjoyed peace", to its "more overtly welfarist, war-scarred yet booming economy and culture, headed by a trades unions' party and at the forefront of a continental war."
